🌟 Wishing everyone a fulfilling and meaningful 2025! Reflecting on 2024, it’s been a transformative year for me as a Medical Director. The journey has been both humbling and enriching, providing me with invaluable opportunities to grow as a leader and improve how I connect with my team. 💡 Yet, the most profound lessons have come once again from those I serve - my patients. They’ve given me insight regarding a crucial truth: 🚨 We are living in an increasingly artificial era. We’re in the midst of what can only be described as a pandemic of mobile phone dependency and physical loneliness. The impact on our health and well-being is real, and all too often, catastrophic. As I approach my 40th year of life, I’ve come to realize that we must take intentional steps to prioritise what truly matters. Here’s some advice I wish to share: 💡 1. Unplug at the end of the day: Leave your phone and computer away. Give your mind the space to relax and unwind. 💡 2. Keep devices out of the bedroom: Create a sanctuary for rest and sleep - our health truly depends on it. 💡 3. Prioritize real human connections: Spend enough time with loved ones, in person, without the distraction of screens. Meaningful face-to-face moments are irreplaceable. At the end of the day, Family & Friendship (Love) are what make everything else - including our careers - meaningful. Right now, it’s 8:45 pm, and I’m sitting here doing this video because I committed to showing up every single day. But next year, I’m shifting my focus from goals to intentions.
