Trudi Marshall, who has been at the heart of driving forward the new interface directorate, has taken on a new role as Executive Nurse Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs). Trudi has already stepped into the role and is excited for the future in Lanarkshire. Trudi said: “This is a great opportunity to lead our nursing, midwifery and AHP staff into 2025 and beyond. “I am really looking forward to the challenge of providing managerial leadership for change and improvement. “The vision is for care to be person-centred and at the heart of this vision is our staff. Our nursing staff, both in our hospitals and in the community, who care for the most vulnerable patients, our midwifery staff who support women from all walks of life bring new life into this world, and, of course, our AHPs, who provide the care and support to assess, treat, diagnose, and discharge patients when appropriate and provide the ongoing support they need after discharge. “All of our nursing, midwifery and AHP staff are front and centre in the patient’s journey and I will be their voice for the challenges ahead.” Trudi’s post as Interface Director will be filled following a recruitment process. NHS Lanarkshire would also like to add say a massive thank you and congratulations to Eddie Docherty who will be taking up a secondment as Director of Quality Assurance and Regulation with Health Improvement Scotland.
