Making sales a little less tough | SDR Team Lead @ MySalesCoach

I spend a tonne of time speaking with sales reps and so many of them tell me the same thing That they can’t wait to be promoted. I recently spoke at Sales Confidence and shared my tips for when you’re thinking about making the next step in your career. I shared the importance of 🏃🏽♀️Mastering the SDR role before you begin to think about a promotion 🗑️Making yourself indispensable 🎓Acting like the job you want, not the job you have 🗣️Finding a coach or a mentor that’s external to your company 💻Having a collaborative conversation with your manager to identify timelines and role availability. I used to see a HUGE gap between people who wanted to be promoted (either in grade or job type) and those who were prepared to do anything to make it happen. I found a lot of sales people saw promotion as something that would be done to them rather than something they actively went after.
