Company culture can play a pivotal role in job satisfaction, creativity and overall success. But how crucial is it when you're in a contract position? 🤔 I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Have you found a strong cultural fit enhances your performance, even in temporary roles? Or do you think the nature of contract work means it's less of a priority? #contractwork #companyculture #jobperformance

I still interact with people daily even on a contract basis. Delivering value means more than just coding, it means understanding the problems and finding solutions, be it organisational or technical or both.

It's not 100% necessary for temporary roles but it does help. I guess the alternative way would be to work back from an overly toxic culture and see if it would impedes performance. From that perspective yes, however its difficult to get the sweet spot sometimes, the culture of empowerment and support is what counts which I guess would translate into Responsibility and Autonomy.
