National Institute for Aviation Research’s Post

The new eVTOL restrained flight test facility is quickly taking shape! The foundation for the out-of-ground “hover ramp” is complete and the foundation for in-ground “platform” will be poured in the coming days. Both test set-ups are expected to be operational in the spring of 2025. The facility will provide eVTOL developers with a controlled environment for conducting restrained operation of test vehicles for research and testing to assess thrust characteristics, aerodynamics, system performance and failure conditions.
