While there is huge excitement and enthusiasm in the tech world about the potential of #AI and recently specifically #GenAI, what do #UK #consumers really think about it and how will this impact ability of #B2C industries to monetise AI ? 1) 68% UK consumers feel companies overestimate their interest in AI infused products and services and 20% are unsure about it. 2) 49% UK consumers report AI's presence does not influence their buying decisions and a further 29% report they are actually less likely to buy products that incorporate AI 3) Only 3% feel that a company investing in AI makes it innovative. Ultimately it comes to what value will 'AI' deliver to consumer and help them meet their needs, wants and aspirations. According with last research of McKinsey & Company (“Beyond the hype: Capturing the potential of AI and gen AI in tech, media, and telecom”) the allows to identify more than 100 uses cases for Telco & Media Industry, the potential of Gen-AI to achieve significant impact for the industry is impressive and the largest share of total impact will likely be in CUSTOMER CARE and SALES, which together would account approximately for 70% of total impact. Network operations, IT, support functions would round out the rest.
