I’ve helped create a lot of fundraising campaigns over the years and think this is one of the most power, simple and overrated concepts in the planning stage: ➡️ Make it relevant ⬅️ Whether it’s connecting your campaign to the season, a topical news story, or a sporting event everybody is talking about - try to find a theme that feels current and accessible. This is a powerful way of creating interest in your fundraising campaign; ensuring you are keeping things fresh and engaging 🤓 The great thing is that the foundations have been laid - you are building on a subject that your audience are already likely to be at least partially invested in 🕰 A topic that is timely will stick in people’s minds; creating a ‘bridge’ of connection between your charity’s supporters and their friends and family. This makes it easier for them to talk about a cause that is close to their hearts 💕 ✅ The result is an engaged audience who are far more likely to involve themselves in your campaign.
