when you leave and job and start a new position for a different company you always ask yourself will this be the same as what I'm leaving? Have I made the right decisions? well I can say with confidence that joining MJ Quinn was the best thing I have done. a company that really knows how to look after the staff. a management team that listens and doesn't look down on people because of the position they are in a company that understands the business it's in and wants to succeed I have never been made to feel so welcome in a new job as what I have been here. The company wants people to succeed as one and not just the managers take the credit when things have gone well. Things I am learning…   I hate #goodbyes!   I was employed by the John Lewis Partnership for 19 years. When the time came for me to move on, it was scary but I was able to do it, in part, because I had a good ending. I knew that would be critical for me to be able to move forward positively. I remember feeling really bad for all those people that retired or left jobs during the pandemic and didn't get a proper goodbye and the all important "#closure". It really matters!   In the last few weeks, as well as signing up some fab #newclients, I have concluded some other contracts as people have gone on to other ways of working or moved into different fields. I have loved working with each and every one of them.   Yes, the starting up process is super important. Establishing a #professional relationship and the conditions of how we will work together is absolutely critical. It's not just about the tasks; it's also about the #rapport, the #chemistry and building the #trust quickly so my clients feel they are in #safehands but…   the process of closing a contract is just as important! It matters to me that I leave every client feeling they have had a good experience and able to move forward positively and hopefully, in some small way, enriched professionally or personally by our time working together. If I am really lucky, the client becomes and remains a friend or at very least, we become a valued part of each others' professional networks.   So I am learning to manage the goodbyes and feel #proud of the part I have played in someone else's journey and I will take forward all the experiences to future clients and continue to work on building #impactful and #fruitfulrelationships with each and every one.

Small Wins, Big Results! In our busy office, I had a big problem keeping our company energy positive as we got more people. It was essential to make sure every worker felt special and listened to. At first, our team was like a small family, all working together because we liked the same things and wanted the same goals. But as we grew more prominent, I worried we might lose how close we were. So, I wanted to make everyone on the team feel powerful. As we became more successful, I started to fear that we might drift apart. But then I decided to make sure everyone on the team felt strong and important. We started by allowing everyone to easily express their ideas, worries, and new thoughts. That helped us talk better and ensured everyone felt like they were part of the team. We also started a program to celebrate when people did good things, no matter how big or small. Saying thank you and cheering each other on helped us feel good and want to do even better. Over time, our office changed. It became more than just a place to work; it became a team where everyone felt important and needed to succeed. We trusted each other more and helped each other out, so we became even closer. Because we worked hard, we didn't just keep our unique company spirit alive; we made it even better.
