Today is a different post. Usually, I would do my weekly round-up. Thursday was World Mental Health Day, with this year's theme being workplace mental health, so I thought I would share some images taken near our offices at The Craggs Country Business Parks. (I included one of the Aurora I took the other night just because 🙂). There are many things to be grateful for, and our offices are just one of them. Friday was a stressful day dealing with a difficult customer (we all have them), but I am grateful for the people I work & collaborate with (some of whom are friends), so here is a quick shout-out to just a few Amanda Brearley, Kate Bourne, Catherine Byrom, Rebecca Moloney & Alasdair Newton. ⭐️ My weekly round-up⭐️ It's Saturday, and the sun is shining (I've done it now, tempting fate...). So the week started with a great meeting on PlanIt Monday - Business Networking. It was great to catch up with Chris Marsh (check out his The Biz Dev Club every other Tuesday), Rebecca Moloney, and James Mossop 🐙 & to welcome Mark B. to the meeting (I hope to see you at future meetings). Tuesday was #BNI Day with BNI Hatters (Stockport), meeting at Robinsons Brewery Visitor Centre in #Stockport. It was great to meet Jason Jones, Chloe Lander & Kelvin White, who visited us (I hope you enjoyed our meeting). In the afternoon, I popped around to see Rebecca and sort out her trouble printer, which had decided to misbehave. (Check out Career Garage (UK). If you're looking for help in your career, I can highly recommend a chat with Rebecca). Wednesday, I worked with a business, building a new #Sage200 company dataset so they could report across multiple entities within the group. On Thursday, I helped Kate Bourne, whose laptop had been in an unfortunate accident (we supply loan equipment for our valued customers). Fortunately, all her data was safe in the cloud, the power of Microsoft 365. (Check out Polar Lab Projects's new website; it's fantastic! https://lnkd.in/exiyrC_p) Later, it was great to see Craig Poppleton, Anthony Ingram, Greg Middleton, Cristina Tanner & Jo Spence of Parallax Consultancy Ltd. It was lovely to meet 🍀 Rachel Donnelly - Collaborate HR in person finally. On Friday, I went to see a new client to get them up and running with Sage 200 standard. And to finish off my week, seeing as it's a nice day out, I went out for a nice leisurely 5k run,

Don't worry about the rain; the great thing about online networking is that you can still connect with new people or catch up with those in your network from the comfort of your office or home. This morning's discussion focused on #Tech, particularly #AI, and its pros and cons. As an IT Consultant, I always find it fascinating to hear different perspectives on digital tools for business. Using it effectively is crucial to getting the most out of it, like any tool. Chris also mentioned The Biz Dev Club (which he hosts), which meets for 30 minutes every other week on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, exchange tips and ideas, and ask questions about Business Development (I'll share the link for anyone interested in the comments below). ⭐️ Weekly Round-up ⭐️ It's Saturday again, and we're nearly at the end of September; the nights have started to draw in, the leaves are turning, and autumn is almost upon us. So, what have I been up to this week; Monday: started the week with PlanIt Monday - Business Networking great conversations with Chris Marsh & James Mossop 🐙 It was great to visit The Mistoria Group and see Mish Liyanage to learn more about their #IT Infrastructure and how Evolution Managed IT Services can support the business with their #Technology needs. Tuesday: It was great to catch up with everyone at BNI Hatters (Stockport). Great training was delivered by one of our members, Craig Poppleton. Thank you 🙏🏻 The afternoon was spent working with one of our customers to restore missing data to their #Sage200 database. Wednesday: I started the day attending the CKMA's (great to be sponsors and help support local businesses in #Calderdale & #Kirklees) morning networking event for #Manufacturers. Then, I went to Knutsfords to work with Rich Williams installing a new Leased Line Internet Connection and phones for our mutual customer. Thursday: I attended the FC United of Manchester Networking Event. Thanks, Tom Khares, for the invite. It was great catching up with you and talking about how you help businesses with their FX Exposure (I don't know what that means. Have a chat with me or Tom).
