Top Benefits of Job Fairs for Employers: 1. Access to a large talent pool of potential employees 2. Boost brand awareness for your company. Job fairs for employers provide companies with a strong visible presence, which attracts plenty of people to your company. On the other hand, having a high brand awareness is a critical step to success in any public events including job fairs. Job fairs play a significant part in developing brand image. 3. Expand your network- Face-to-face meetings continue to be one of the most successful forms of communication, even if networking has been made simpler by the growth of social networks and the Internet. Job fairs are an excellent way to connect people and employers for their mutual benefit. 4. Job Fairs are Cost Effective- It costs a lot of money to advertise available positions on job boards and your website when you employ in a classical way. This requires a lot of time as well. After all, it typically takes up to 65 days to acquire a new employee. There is a charge associated with a job fair, but it is not equivalent to the sum you would spend on lost productivity as a result of the hiring. 5. Advertising your company- The broadcast advertisement and job listing placement on www.informnny.com would easily cost more than the amount to attend the job fair. Within 48 hours of signing up for our job fair, your logo is placed on all promos, banner ads, job fair page, and spoken about in our lifestyles programming and news. New Post: 5 Things You MUST Do Before Attending A Job Fair - https://lnkd.in/gFD7e52V - Most job fairs run between January and May. When spring rolls around, things usually ramp up because most employers want job openings filled before summer kicks off. If you are among the job seekers attending job fairs, then take down these tips to prepare for it and make the most of your time there. Many employers have a presence at job fairs to increase brand awareness, but also to save time in the screening process. Job fairs offer an opportunity for employers to conduct initial screenings of potential candidates on the spot. Due to COVID-19, virtual job fairs have become more popular and allow employers and job seekers to meet safely, going around geographical barriers. Employers have an idea of what they are looking for in a candidate for each job opening, so anyone who appears to make the cut can be interviewed to advance the process along right then and there.Job seekers who come prepared will strike up opportunities quickly, so here are five things you must do before attending a job fair.1. Research Ahead Of TimeThere can be hundreds of companies to talk to at each job fair, but that doesn't mean you'll have the time to reach out to all of them. Research ahead of time which ones you want to approach so you make the most of your time there. (You should always have your interview bucket list ready—a list of the companies you would love to work for someday!)When you know your targets, you can also start to customize your materials. It'll help to look at the company's website so you see what job openings they have and the requirements/job descriptions for each position. This information can help you tailor your resume and what you communicate when you meet with the individuals at the job fair. It'll also help you write your disruptive cover letter when you formally submit your job application. 2. Plan To Approach The Employer (Even If They Aren't Recruiting For The Job You Want!)Job fairs are great for networking—it's not simply about dropping off your resume. You want to start conversations with the right contacts. If there is an employer you desire to work for, but they're not recruiting for the job you want, it's still important to go over and talk to them. You never know when the position may suddenly open up. The contacts there may also direct you to information in regards to who's leading the department you want to work in so that you can follow up with that individual directly. It's all about connections! The key to connecting with others is to engage in conversation. Ask insightful questions! Be someone they will remember at the end of the day or use it as an opportunity to open the door to more conversation.3. Have Your Elevator Pitch ReadyEmployers are looking to hear what you can do for them, so come prepared with a quick pitch on your skills and experience, as well as how it can help solve their problems.Your elevator pitc

🚫 Beware of Misleading Job Fairs in Kashmir! 🚫 Dear Connections, As professionals committed to guiding and supporting young talent, it's crucial to shed light on potential pitfalls within our job-seeking community. Recently, mega job fairs have been gaining traction in Kashmir, offering promising opportunities for our youth. However, beneath the surface lies a concerning truth: these events often mislead and disappoint rather than empowering our aspiring workforce. Here are a few reasons why I urge caution: 1️⃣ False Promises: Many job fairs boast impressive company lists and enticing job descriptions, but upon closer examination, these opportunities may not be as genuine as they appear. Some companies use these platforms to gather resumes for future reference rather than offering immediate employment. 2️⃣ Lack of Screening: The sheer scale of mega job fairs often means that organizers struggle to properly vet participating companies. This lack of screening can lead to unscrupulous entities taking advantage of eager job seekers, offering subpar positions. 3️⃣ Limited Scope: Despite their grandiose titles, these events frequently focus on quantity over quality, prioritizing volume of attendees and participating companies rather than ensuring meaningful connections and genuine job opportunities. So, what can we do? ✅ Do Your Research: Before attending any job fair, thoroughly investigate the participating companies. Look for reviews, check their legitimacy, and inquire about their hiring processes. ✅ Network Wisely: While job fairs can be valuable networking opportunities, be discerning about where you invest your time and energy. Focus on events with a reputation for quality over quantity. ✅ Seek Alternative Resources: Explore alternative avenues for job hunting, such as industry-specific events, online platforms, and professional networking groups. Don't limit yourself to mega job fairs as your sole option. ✅ Share Knowledge: Spread awareness within your network about the potential pitfalls of misleading job fairs. Empower others to make informed decisions and protect themselves from exploitation. In conclusion, while mega job fairs may promise a shortcut to career success, the reality is often far from what is advertised. Let's work together to ensure that our talented youth are equipped with the knowledge and resources they need to navigate the job market safely and effectively. #JobFairs #Kashmir #CareerAdvice #YouthEmpowerment #Networking Your insights and experiences are valuable contributions to this discussion. Let's continue to support each other in our professional journeys.
