Photochemical internalization is an effective strategy that relies on photodynamic reaction to promote siRNA endosomal escape to successfully achieve RNA interference gene regulation, which can improve the synergy and effectiveness of gene-photodynamic combined therapy. However, how to simultaneously improve the delivery efficiency of siRNA and organic photosensitizers remains a severe challenge.
