Happy 6-month work anniversary to me! 🎉 Can't believe how quickly time flies when you're learning and growing! Here are some updates on my journey: 1. Exciting news! I was honored with a 2023 Performance Recognition Award for my hard work and dedication. 2. I've been honing my PowerPivot and data skills in Excel, and it's been an enlightening journey. 3. I've been immersed in our ERP system and have made significant strides in becoming proficient in it. 4. Creating meaningful relationships has been a highlight for me. Building strong connections with colleagues and partners has been incredibly rewarding. 5. Gaining insight into the operational workings of a larger company, especially in a new industry, has been invaluable. It's given me a clearer perspective on how to drive positive change. Here's to more challenges, more growth, and more achievements in the next six months and beyond! 🚀

In Pursuit of Excellence; Stop, Look, Go. 1 April 2024 marks my 30th working anniversary. As the world celebrates April Fool’s Day, I celebrate 3 decades of working in 3 different countries with gratitude. 1. Stop - Learn to Pause. In today’s business world, we hardly have time to pause. Every new working-day, every month, every quarter and every year we are expected to out-perform our past performance & results. In leadership positions, one has to also deal with the internal office politics and manage the posturing that we see from our subordinates and even from ourselves. It is important to allocate some down-time periodically to unwind and relax (and remember to put-away our gadgets too). 2. Look - Learn to Reflect. Count all our blessings (and even failures) and be grateful. Every different market I have worked-in has taught me different lessons and provided different experiences. There is no perfect workplace in this world but each market which I had the opportunity to be based-in has its great moments which I will cherish and I am still enjoying them in my current role. We all have our best work moments (and the ones we wish it could disappear) and we should learn from these 2 extreme experiences. 3. Go - Learn to “Go Again”. Irrespective of our successes and failures, we should never allow both success or failure to get the better of us. Never get caught-up with achievements & success and be arrogant. In my career, I have met a number of arrogant & narcissistic people and it is quite amusing at times observing them as both their behaviours and outcomes are quite predictable. On the flip side; do not dwell on past failures but use them as a learning platform and ensure we do not repeat the same mistakes. #pursuitofexcellence #leadership #personaldevelopment

Today marks a special day for me as I celebrate my work anniversary. It's been a year since I joined this company and I can't believe how fast time has flown by. When I first started, I was filled with excitement and nervousness, unsure of what to expect. But as I reflect on the past year, I am filled with pride and gratitude for all the experiences and growth I have gained. Looking back, I am reminded of the challenges I faced in my early days at this company. From learning new processes and systems to adapting to a new work culture, it was definitely a steep learning curve. But with the support of my colleagues and mentors, I was able to overcome these challenges and become a valuable member of the team. As I progressed in my role, I took on new responsibilities and projects, constantly pushing myself out of my comfort zone. It wasn't always easy, but I am thankful for the opportunities that have helped me develop new skills and expand my knowledge. I have also formed meaningful relationships with my colleagues, who have not only been great teammates but also friends. One of the things I appreciate most about this company is the emphasis on personal and professional growth. From training and development programs to mentorship opportunities, I have been able to continuously improve and advance in my career. I am grateful to work for a company that invests in its employees and values their contributions. As I celebrate this milestone, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
