The Chinese Tradition of the Dragon Boat Festival As the traditional Dragon Boat Festival, I am reminded of the rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit that accompanies this ancient celebration. Originating in China, the Dragon Boat Festival is not just a holiday; it's a celebration of history, community, and the resilience of our ancestors. One of the most iconic traditions during this festival is the thrilling dragon boat race. Teams of paddlers, dressed in vibrant uniforms, race across the water in long, narrow boats adorned with the majestic image of a dragon. The sound of drums beating in unison, the cheers of spectators, and the speed and agility of the boats create an electrifying atmosphere. This festival also marks the time when we honor the legendary scholar #QuYuan, who is said to have committed suicide by drowning in a river due to his despair over the corrupt state of his country. To prevent fish from eating his body, people threw rice dumplings #zongzi into the water, which later evolved into the custom of eating zongzi during the Dragon Boat Festival. As we gather to watch the dragon boat races and enjoy the festivities, let us also remember the values that Qu Yuan represented: integrity, patriotism, and the quest for truth and justice. These values are as relevant today as they were centuries ago. #DragonBoatFestival #DragonBoatRacing #ChineseCulture #QuYuanLegend #Zongzi #CulturalHeritage #Qualitylife #PCBMay

🛶 When it comes to the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, Qu Yuan's story stands out. 🌊 📆 On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, Qu Yuan, the poet and minister of the ancient State of Chu, threw himself into the Miluo River in despair over the corruption of his country. 😢 🛶 Moved by his patriotism and sorrow, the people of Chu began to hold dragon boat races and eat zongzi (rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves) to commemorate his sacrifice. 🍙 🎉 This tradition has been passed down through generations, and the Dragon Boat Festival has become a time for family reunions, cultural celebrations, and a reminder of Qu Yuan's noble spirit. 🙏 #logistics #oceanfreight #supplychainsolutions #LogisticsExcellenc #SupplyChainSolutions #FreightForwarder #FreightForwarding #supplychain #OceanFreightLogistics #latinamerica #carexport #newenergyvehicles #cargo #oceanfreight #InternationalFreigh #internationallogistics

Dragon Boat Festival: Let Chimold lead you explore this holiday The Dragon Boat Festival is a highly significant holiday in Chinese culture, occurring on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. It commemorates the renowned Chinese poet and minister Qu Yuan, celebrated for his patriotism and contributions to classical poetry. Qu Yuan is revered as a national hero, and this festival serves as a tribute to his memory. With a history dating back over 2,000 years, the festival holds immense cultural and historical importance. It is regarded as one of the four major traditional Chinese festivals alongside the Spring Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Qingming Festival. The Dragon Boat Festival celebrates virtues such as loyalty, patriotism, and other qualities esteemed in Chinese culture. A key highlight of the festival is the dragon boat race, where teams of rowers compete in long narrow boats adorned like dragons while rowing in unison to rhythmic drumbeats and gongs. This tradition stems from the belief that dragon boat races dispel malevolent spirits while ushering in good fortune and prosperity for the upcoming year. In addition to this main event, other customary practices include consuming zongzi (stuffed rice dumplings) and hanging sachets called xiang bao on walls containing herbs with insecticidal and antifungal properties aimed at warding off negative energy and diseases. As such, the Dragon Boat Festival represents an integral aspect of Chinese culture by honoring an influential poet-minister while celebrating important virtues through unique traditions. This year's celebrations commence on June 8th until June 10th coinciding with the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. While spanning three days traditionally observed during this festival period,Chimold will only suspend its activities on June 10th. Each year, the company remains committed to upholding traditions without compromising deadlines or product delivery efficiency. ● For more information, leave your comments and follow us. #Chimold #DragonBoatFestival #ChineseTradition #AncientCulture #DragonBoatRacing #Zongzi #CulturalHeritage #ChineseCelebration #ImportExport #AsianBusiness #China #Business #Mould #Holiday #Injectionmold #mold #moldbase #mouldindustry #mouldinchina #moldparts #moldsupply

Fans A fan is both a tool for cooling oneself down in hot weather and a traditional form of Chinese art. Fans are deeply rooted in the culture of the Han people. Fans appeared in the Shang and Zhou dynasties. However, it was not until the Han Dynasty that they were employed in ordinary people's daily life. In China, there are varieties of fans made of different materials, the most common of which are paper, silken cloth, palm leaves, feathers, thin bamboo strips, etc, the majority of which are made in ZheJiang, JiangSu, SiChuan, HuBei and GuangDong. Besides the function of making people feel cool in summer, they serve as stage as props in PingTan (storytelling and ballad singing in SuZhou dialect), Chinese traditional opera, dancing, and XiangSheng (also known as crosstalk, a traditional Chinese comedic performing art). Kites China is the home of kites. Legend has it that the kite was invented by Lu Ban (鲁班) in the Spring and Autumn Period. Now, kites are both toys for everyday recreation and a form of art. When they were invented, however, kites were first used for military purposes. It gradually become used more as a toy at some point after the Tang Dynasty. At first, flying kites was a game for the children of the rich and privileged only. In the Northern Song Dynasty, when paper was used for making kites, the cost was greatly reduced, which made it possible for kites to become a popular toy rather than a toy for the rich only. WeiFang, ShanDong Province, is the birthplace of Chinese kite culture. The headquarters of the International Kite Foundation is located there, and the International Kite Festival, as well as numerous other smaller kite festivals, is regularly held there. As well as having its own kite museum, it has also successfully held numerous kite festivals. As the largest kite production and distribution center in Chinese history, it is also known as the “World Kite Capital”. Chinese kites are becoming more and more popular with people all over the world. 240916Mo. #ThisIsChina #ChineseCulture #Chapter23 #ArtsAndCrafts #Fans #Kites
