MOTION GRAPHICS PUSHING BOUNDARIES OF VISUAL STORY-TELLING At the Event Industry Forum 2024 held in Warsaw, we presented an anamorphic animation featuring cubes and other shapes coming together to create a 3D effect. The synchronization of the cubes' movements contributes to the illusion of depth and dimensionality. Each element within the animation was planned with precision, as the cubes moved and interlocked, creating a captivating visual story. Such animation can be used to presenting different projects, making them more dynamic and eye-catching. What do you think about such a solution?

MOFA-Video: The Future of Animation or Just Pixel Wiggles? Check this out – Chinese and Japanese grad students' take on the animators of tomorrow. Yep, it's a sarcastic jab at interface designs. The concept is on point: giving as many controls as possible. MOFA-Video animates a single image using different types of control signals like trajectories, traditional keyframes, and their combos. Peep the examples on the site, but TBH, it's just pixel wiggles to me now – input an image with some animation cues, output pixel movements. Sure, it's not old-school 2D pixel morphing; it's embedding morphing in latent space. But still, just smart nonlinear pixel wiggles at the end of the day. Happy Friday! 🌟 I wanted to show an WIP animation for OLIPOP PBC I created this fun environment, reminiscent of a video game character selection screen to showcase the variety of flavours Olipop cans come in. This animation definitely pushed me as it was crucial to get the small movements right, especially with the cursor/mouse to prevent that typical key-frame animation movement. My favourite thing is to look at a piece of work after some time away and be able to identify areas of improvement. This is really rewarding for me as my usual experience whilst working on anything visual is that after a while, your mind stops being able to 'see' the image - it's just too used to it. So, spending some time away and coming back to a project is something I try and do regularly to make sure fresh eyes and a new perspective can be effectively used. In some time I hope to upload the revised version, so my feed can continuously become a transparent exploration of my skills and aptitude as a 3D artist. I think its important to show this, as in my personal experience, its too often you just see polished, perfect pieces with no exploration or explanation which can give you the false impression that someone can just click a button and produce commercial-ready content. Day 5. Image to animation. The new “hotness” around AI right now is animation. Why? With one image or a text prompt, you can animate a scene and save hours of rendering time. All you need is 1-2 reference images and a prompt to guide the camera. Included is an AI animation we took from 9 renderings and had Lumalabs.ai do the rest. I then compiled them into After Effects, but you can use almost any video editing software to put it together.
