It's hard to rely on evidence from dietary and nutrition studies because they are always very hard to measure. But this study does support previous studies that show a correlation between higher dietary salt habits and a steeper rate of cognitive decline in persons with dementia. This just reinforces what we already know: Adopting healthy dietary practices, such as reducing salt intake and avoiding selective eating (eat all the things), can have beneficial impacts on dementia. It's crucial not only to seek out and incorporate foods that may help slow dementia progression but also to maintain balanced eating habits and limit salt intake when possible. #brainhealth #slowneurodegeneration #eatmoreplants Asbury Communities, Inc. 🌱 Boost Your Health with a Plant-Powered Lifestyle! 🌱 Exciting research shows that a plant-rich, nutrient-dense diet, specifically the Nutritarian diet, may help reduce inflammation and slow down biological aging! 🧬 Study Highlights: • Lower Inflammation: Women on the Nutritarian diet, rich in foods like cruciferous vegetables, beans, garlic, mushrooms, berries, nuts, and seeds, had lower markers of inflammation than those on a standard American diet. • Slower Biological Aging: Epigenetic analysis revealed that women following this diet had a significantly slower rate of aging, as shown by advanced biological age markers. These findings suggest that the Nutritarian diet might be a powerful choice to support long-term health, reduce inflammation, and help you age gracefully. 🌿 #HealthyLiving #NutritarianDiet #PlantBased
