Hello connections! Wishing u all a Prosperous Diwali 🎆 🚀 Project Throwback: Diabetes Prediction Model with Machine Learning! 🚀 Looking back on Project in Exhibition, where we dove deep into building a basic prediction model to assess diabetes risk! 🩺 🔍 Project Overview: Our objective was to train a model that could predict the likelihood of diabetes based on various datasets. We leveraged K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), XGBoost, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms. Here’s what made our approach unique: Diverse Datasets: We worked with the Pima dataset and another similar diabetes dataset, both sourced from Kaggle. Custom Dataset Creation: For an extra challenge, we experimented by blending both datasets to create a third dataset, giving us fresh insights and room for analysis. Algorithm Comparison: Training all three datasets on the same algorithms allowed us to analyze performance variations and extract critical learnings. 💡 Deployment & Results: We deployed one dataset on Streamlit, enabling hands-on testing for diabetes predictions. Although our initial accuracy wasn’t optimal, this journey was rich in learning about data training, model tuning, and optimizations. 🧩 Next Steps: Working to improve accuracy with advanced techniques and learning further about model optimization. Excited to continue exploring, refining, and applying these techniques in the future! Have a look at the Code 👇 https://lnkd.in/gD2NwKGJ

Dhanteras: Celebrating Wealth with a Focus on Oral Health Dhanteras, celebrated on the thirteenth day of the lunar month of Kartik, marks the beginning of the Diwali festival in India. It is a day dedicated to honoring wealth and prosperity, particularly through the worship of Lord Dhanvantari and Goddess Lakshmi. While the festival primarily emphasizes material wealth, it is also an opportune moment to reflect on the significance of health, including oral health, as an integral part of overall well-being. Thus, just as we celebrate material wealth on Dhanteras, we should equally prioritize our oral health. The Importance of Oral Health : Oral health is vital for several reasons. It impacts our ability to consume nutritious foods, which is essential for maintaining overall health. Poor oral hygiene can lead to dental issues, such as cavities and gum disease, which have been linked to more serious health problems, including heart disease and diabetes. Moreover, oral health affects our self-esteem and confidence, influencing personal and professional interactions. Dhanteras serves as a reminder that just as we invest in physical wealth, we must also invest time and resources into maintaining our oral health. This can involve regular dental check-ups, proper brushing and flossing techniques, and being mindful of dietary choices that support oral hygiene. Promoting Healthy Practices : This Dhanteras, individuals and families can initiate healthy practices that enhance oral health. For instance, while it’s traditional to purchase gold or silver items, consider also investing in high-quality dental care products, such as electric toothbrushes and fluoride toothpaste. Additionally, gifting health-focused items, such as water bottles or dental care kits, can promote a culture of wellness within families and communities. Sharing knowledge about nutritious foods that benefit oral health can also be impactful. Foods rich in vitamins and minerals, like dairy products, fruits, and vegetables, not only strengthen teeth but also support overall health. Encouraging a balanced diet while celebrating Dhanteras can help intertwine the concepts of health and wealth. Conclusion : Dhanteras is not only a celebration of wealth but also an excellent opportunity to reflect on the essential connection between health and prosperity. As we honor the deities of wealth, let us also commit to investing in our oral health. #Dhanteras #HealthAndWealth #OralHealth #DentalWellness #InvestInYourHealth #HealthyHabits #CelebrateWellness #DentalCare #WealthInHealth #DiwaliCelebration

Few sounds are more annoying than the buzzing of a mosquito, but did you know that this buzz is music to their ears?Mosquitoes harmonize their buzzes in love duets. Despite their small size, mosquitoes have a highly developed auditory system, crucial for their reproduction. They have the most neurons dedicated to hearing among insects. Male 'Aedes aegypti' mosquitoes have over 15,000 neurons, while females have about half. 🎵 Males buzz at around 600Hz, and females at 400Hz. When they meet, they adjust their frequencies to create a common tone of 1,200Hz. 🎶 When both sexes adjust their frequencies, the interval between the pitch of the male mosquito and that of the female mosquito comes very close to what musicians call a perfect fifth. For centuries, composers considered the fifth interval to be the most euphoric of all, something that seems to work in the case of mosquitoes: if the male manages to create a duet with the female, creating a fifth interval, the chances of being chosen and reproduce multiply. In other words, the female tends to choose the male who best sings her duet. Can we disharmonize their buzzing? All this knowledge, beyond the pleasure of knowing, is studied to find the weak points of the mosquitoes on which to act when managing their populations. There are not a few works that point out that the communication system and the auditory systems of mosquitoes can be viable targets in future control programs. Will mosquitoes be genetically edited that don’t “hear” each other and don’t reproduce? Will ways be found to interfere with communication between males and females? 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dVnUE3cb #Mosquito #InsectCommunication #AuditorySystem #PublicHealth #MosquitoResearch #Dengue #Aedes
