🙌 The morning session completed with a bang!💥 It was wonderful to hear, at the Greater Manchester Inflammation Research Showcase event hosted by the NIHR Clinical Research Network Greater Manchester , about the innovation, initiatives and collaboration that is securely underpinning Manchester’s research efforts. We heard from Professor Ben Parker who gave a great update on the early phase Rheumatology research being delivered at The NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facility. Professor Richard Warren followed, outlining their ground breaking work, in partnership with industry, looking at the development of novel therapies for treating inflammatory skin diseases and showing the positive impact this is having for patients both physically and mentally. And lastly Professor Anne Barton gave an informative talk outlining how The NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is driving translational research.
