Start-up life is hard, but Acorai's recent round would not have been possible without Sophie, Matthew, Richard, and Morag at Goodwin holding the pen. I couldn't endorse the London team anymore! For those founders in my network, I would suggest meeting and planning early to ensure a smoother ride. #startup #venturecapital #legalstrategy

The funding climate is tough for many startups at the moment but especially for digital health startups. We're long past the golden days of 2021, when investor money poured into everything related to healthtech and digital health. Today investors are much more sombre, and when you start digging into what is challenging digital health startups these days, you can kinda get of sense of why that is. I have written a bit about it following my attendance at this years health.tech conference in Munich, Germany, and I am keen to hear, what your perspective is on what is needed to drive conviction to keep investing in this otherwise very exciting industry? https://lnkd.in/d-hiTDKk #digitalhealth #venturecapital #fundraising #strategy

Last week, Galen Growth | Insights You Can Trust shared illuminating data on the deployment of funding across Europe in the first four months of 2024. If you missed it, check out my post from last Friday for the key metrics. This week, we delve deeper into the funding rounds that attracted capital during this period, and the findings are both enlightening and concerning. Investors in Europe are showing a strong preference for early-stage ventures, with a significant portion of funding flowing into Grant, Seed, Series A, and Series B stages. While this is indicative of a thriving startup ecosystem, it also raises a pertinent question: Will this focus on early-stage ventures pose challenges in the near future? As we witness this concentration of funding in the early stages, it's essential to consider the implications for growth-stage European Digital Health ventures. How are they addressing their funding requirements amidst this landscape? #DigitalHealth #Funding #Europe
