They recently got approval to sell Bimzelx, a product against psorias, in the US and they can bring Zilbrysq on the market in Europe which helps adults with the neuromuscular disease generalized myasthenia gravis. Getting approval to bring medicine to market pharma companies need to meet a lot of requirements. The whole process can take 10-15 years. So if they can find ways to reduce this it can make a big difference. Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of biologics is emerging in recent years as a valuable tool for clinical decision making. An interesting session was held today at the #Biomed #Conference on "Is AI revolutionizing drug discovery and clinical development?". Dr. Eric A. Hughez, Global R&D and Chief Medical Officer of Teva Pharmaceuticals shared insights into the many opportunities and challenges of integrating AI into the pharmaceutical industry. He highlighted the transformative impact of AI and ML tools on drug discovery and development. He also proudly presented Teva's strategic collaboration at AION Labs. As many say today, AI is definitely a buzzword, but the need for change is urgent. As the current process for bringing a new drug to market takes around $2 billion, 10 years, and with approval chances below 90%, innovation is essential.
