To create the presentation video, we used Cinema 4D as the main software, and Houdini and Pyro for additional tasks, which we will discuss in the next post. At the blocking stage, based on the storyboard and collected ideas, we created a rough version of the animation of 3D models and cameras, without textures and lighting. I am a cheater! Do you remember how after the release of the Justice League movie, suddenly there was Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which, in my opinion, did not differ in essence, they just restored some cut scenes. But there was a buzz, people also went to the cinema. I will do the same. I have over a hundred pieces of loaded art and video art, that’s for sure. Much was done on old software, much was done when my skills in animation and rendering were much less. And why not review, and then re-render everything that was done before. This is literally the implementation of the idea - become better than your yesterday self. In general, now I will be cheating. Take a leap into the realm of Ascendant Infinity with our latest in-engine work! With a brief to capture the retro design details and playful style of this fresh new IP, the Big Farmer team set to work bringing this exuberant 80's sitcom styled showcase to life. Our incredible team were able to draw up an animatic from Playfusion's script before getting to work on some pre-vis, creating the building blocks for the piece. We location scouted in the game, set dressed locations, placed cameras, set up some gorgeous custom lighting, and went all out with a motion capture shoot. Building the entire trailer within UE5, we managed everything from rigging and facial animation to final VFX. We even facilitated the creation of this catchy song especially for the trailer. With nearly 500k views on X and 45k on Youtube since launching, we have loved seeing the reactions to this bespoke trailer.
