“Life’s most meaningful moments are never perfect. They come with gentle pauses to catch our breath, a dose of kindness to remind us of what matters, and laughter that lightens even the heaviest of days.” For some, we’ll be working through the festive season; for others, we may already be enjoying too much cheese, friends, and family games (I’ve already had the first heated quiz – turns out I hadn’t fully checked some of the answers!). I’ll always try to keep a balanced perspective when thinking and writing, especially at this time of year. Christmas for many is a time of joy, celebration, and connection – a chance to look back at the year with gratitude and sparkling eyes for all that’s been achieved. For others, simply getting through the year has been the achievement, with a sense of relief to have made it this far. For some, this season may bring feelings of loneliness rather than connection. And, of course, there’s everything else that sits in between. So, I’d like to share a few pre-Christmas (worthy all-year-round) reminders: 🎄It’s OK to take a breath, to pause, or to gently (or not so gently!) say no. 🎄Things don’t have to be perfect – the imperfections often make something or someone special. Flawsome: awesome because of our flaws. 🎄And importantly: you are enough. More than enough. 🎄One last thing: a little silliness can go a long way. Life can take itself too seriously sometimes, and a touch of fun can bring some much-needed lightness.
