3.1 million viewers makes the Miami Grand Prix the most-watched Formula 1 race in US TV history. The headline figures are great: a 58% increase on last year's race, a strong showing from the 18-49 demographic (1.3 million viewers), and the most-watched sprint race in the US since the format was introduced. But, there's also some important context to these promising results: 👉 No clash with Nascar after the race at Kansas Speedway suffered rain delays 👉 Huge lead-in from Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic, which had an average audience of 4.32 million 👉 Prior to Miami, F1's year-on-year viewership was actually down 6% in the US Let's hope this is the beginning of an upturn in viewership in the US, rather than an anomaly. #SportsBiz #F1

Fortunes are turning quickly for Lewis Hamilton 🍀 So much so, that I didn’t have time to finish this piece, documenting his 200th podium before he won his 201st.. So here we have; Lewis Hamilton’s 201 podiums visualised. Highlights for me: 🔸17 podiums a season on 5x occasions 🔸He’s won from starting on P14 🔸Podiums achieved from P19, P20 and the pitlane But the standout is that Hamilton has achieved a podium 58% of the time he’s started a race. Incredible stuff and I’m sure many more to come.
