💫💊We are honored to showcase the incredible work of Prof. Jens Kurreck and his team at Technische Universität Berlin. Their groundbreaking research is transforming lung cancer drug testing using 3D bioprinting technology. 🔬🫁 Lung cancer remains a global health challenge, and current drug testing methods fall short in replicating real-world conditions, leading to high failure rates in clinical translation. 🧬 Recognizing this, Prof. Kurreck's team turned to 3D bioprinting to create a perfusable 3D lung cancer model that closely resembles human tissue, allowing for more accurate drug testing. 🏥 The team aims to make their 3D lung cancer model accessible to a broad audience, advancing drug testing for clinical translation. Our Co-Founders Dr. Markku Jalkanen and Dr. Sirpa Jalkanen have been nominated as one of three finalists in the prestigious European Inventor Award’s ‘SMEs’ category for 2024, organised by the European Patent Office.   The nomination is in recognition of Markku and Sirpa’s research developing bexmarilimab, Faron’s wholly owned precision cancer immunotherapy candidate.
