South Asian adults have higher co-occurrences of type 2 diabetes and hypertension compared to adults from other racial and ethnic minority groups. In a 6-month trial, the Diabetes Research, Education, and Action for Minorities (DREAM) intervention helped treatment group participants achieve more blood pressure control than usual care.
