👉 Starting from July 1, 2024, the government of Kazakhstan has established mandatory requirements for the individual digital marking of pharmaceuticals. Thanks to digital technologies for tracking and ensuring market transparency, the country aims to strengthen its fight against the shadow pharmaceutical market and the production of counterfeit products. 📌 The implementation of this new legislative initiative enables control over the production and importation of medications, as well as their logistics, distribution, and consumption. "Arterium" Corporation was one of the first companies to promptly update its registration dossiers and successfully implemented the individual digital marking project among non-resident companies in of Kazakhstan and Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies. Now, each package of "Arterium" products shipped to Kazakhstan is marked with an individual digital code that complies with regulatory requirements. 🤝 The project was realized in a short time thanks to the professional team and the available material and technical resources. Kazakhstan is the third country to which products under the "Arterium" trademark are being shipped with individual digital labeling. It is worth noting that Kazakhstan is one of the largest external markets for "Arterium" products. 📅 We adhere to all legislative and regulatory requirements in the markets where we operate and promptly respond to changes to ensure the regular supply of "Arterium" brand medications to patients. #Arterium #Kazakhstan #digital #individualcode

U.S. Importation of Drugs: Navigating the Impact on Canadian Drug Supply On January 5, 2024, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) signed off on Florida’s request to import prescription drugs from Canada under the Section 804 State Importation Program (SIP). This approval has sparked significant discussions and raised concerns about the potential impact on the Canadian drug supply. While this decision aims to address the rising costs of medications in the United States, it has also prompted a closer examination of the implications for Canada's pharmaceutical landscape. In the meantime, pharmaceutical companies have measures at their disposal to help curb export from Canada, including, for example, modifying the terms and conditions of sale to wholesalers. https://ow.ly/opK850QuS2X Sometimes getting to “DONE” is as easy as coffee and conversation … how about we chat. #groupbenefits #employeebenefits #consulting #leadership #communication #cepa #culture #compensation #wellness #employeeengagement #cgib #productivity #roi Humans SERVING Humans

Prof. Mojidola Adeyeye, the Director-General of the NAFDAC disclosed that NAFDAC under her leadership started the “5 plus 5” regulatory scheme which entails companies importing drugs that could be produced by the local pharmaceutical industry to get a last five-year renewal. She said that during the five-year renewal period, the importer must migrate to local manufacturing or partner with local manufacturers, adding that this was an outcome of a study. She said that over 30% of new companies in Nigeria sprung up as a result of the “5 plus 5” initiative, adding that it had encouraged many importers to build their companies. #pharmaceuticals >> Pharmaceutical Sector of Ukraine: significant contribution to the budget and economy of the country 📈 In 2023, Ukraine’s pharmaceutical sector paid more than UAH 5 billion in taxes to the state budget, which confirms its key role in supporting the national economy. 💊 Pharmaceutical retail continues to operate steadily despite economic challenges, providing the population with the necessary medicines and supporting local employees. These figures demonstrate the strategic importance of the sector for Ukraine's development. Another important news is the introduction of the National Drug Verification System using 2D coding for pharmaceuticals. This system is aimed at protecting medicines from counterfeiting. The policy requires manufacturers to include safety measures on the packaging of medicinal products to enable traceability and guarantee their quality. Participation will be voluntary starting from January 1, 2026, and mandatory from January 1, 2028. 🔍 The introduction of this system is another step towards increasing the transparency and safety of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market. However, this trend is changing. 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Government policies are pushing the industry towards innovation and drug development. This means simply obtaining distribution rights is no longer enough. 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: The focus now lies on building internal capabilities for drug development and technical expertise. This allows Saudi companies to compete on a global scale. 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬: This policy shift is driving a demand for exclusive licensing rights and access to broader intellectual property (IP) ownership.
