All of these Jeevika’s offerings have been empowered with the powerful integrations of technology. 👉 Starting from data collection through Mobile applications to managing data through Cloud-based platforms and analysing them through powerful digital dashboards. 👉 The horizon is so wide covering from agriculture to horticulture, livestock to sustainable livelihood and physical stores to powerful digital online stores. 👉 Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (JEEViKA) is an autonomous body under the Department of Rural Development. Bihar has made its prominence and has been recognized worldwide for making an impact on the community by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities as well as bringing government policies accessible to the last person in the line. 👉 JEEViKA, a World Bank-supported program of the Government of Bihar is aimed at the socioeconomic empower- ment of rural households. The program was initiated in 2006 under the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project (BRLP) in 6 districts and 42 blocks of Bihar. 👉 Currently, they have around 1077258 Self Help Groups, 71095 Village Organisations and more than 1525 Cluster Level Federations. The Producers Group and Producers Companies have become important institutions which have managed to prove their prowess in developing various micro-enterprises in the farm as well as non-farm verticals.   👉 All the products developed by the Women Entrepreneurs from JEEViKA SHGs are local specialities of their area and are indigenously produced making them the best quality. #Diversity #Inclusion | In Bhandara and Gondia districts of Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, members of the Dheevar fishing community look for a sign in the water to know when it’s time to till the land. It appears on the belly of a freshwater fish—the 4-cm-long kalvali—as a thin orange line that informs them that it is fish breeding season. The mark also tells them that the monsoon is five or six days away. Traditional knowledge is what has helped the fishing cooperatives of Bhandara and Gondia revive their inland lakes and tanks, restore their biodiversity, and enhance their livelihoods. And yet, traditional or grassroots knowledge is bound not only by cordons of class, caste, gender, religion, and region, but also by hardened precepts that determine what constitutes knowledge and its place on the ladder of legitimacy. Entrenched systems of power privilege literacy over lore and laboratories over lived experience, assigning a greater value to academic knowledge than to wisdom found outside formal institutions—in the homes and fields of people.  Traditional knowledge systems in India have been left out of institutional models of learning. IMPAct4Nutrition (I4N) Platform is delighted to onboard GUJARAT LIVELIHOOD PROMOTION COMPANY LTD (GLPC) as its pledged partner. Through #I4N technical expertise, #GLPC shall work closely with I4N secretariat for its Project ‘Jeevika Saathi’ which will be implemented in 2 aspirational Blocks of #Gujarat - #Nandod (#Narmada), #Garbhada (#Dahod). Dahod and Narmada are two of those districts where I4N secretariat did intense deep dive last year and as an outcome of the same came out with some of evidence based gaps & needs from those districts. Some of those gaps and needs are expected to be fulfilled by this technical collaboration of I4N and its pledged partner GLPC through this project. This initiative is supported by a consortium of Gujarat Gas Limited , and the @Socio Economical Transformation and Upliftment Society (SETU). Leveraging technical expertise of I4N secretariat, the project team will focus on women's empowerment through entrepreneurship development, along with nutrition training for a healthier future.   Together, we aim to transform lives by promoting better nutritional choices for women entrepreneurs.
