The Women Entrepreneurship Platform incubated by NITI Aayog Official accelerates financing for women entrepreneurs in India through its Financing Women Collaborative (FWC). The collaborative works with banks and financial service providers to accelerate financing for women led enterprises. It also supports capacity building for stronger credit readiness among women. FWC partnered with the wonderful team at Godrej Capital to curate Aarohi loans designed specifically for women-led enterprises and self employed female professionals including those who are new to credit. It is a gender intelligent product that understands and customizes for women's needs as per their lifecycle and enterprise stage and sector. We hope WEP users and women entrepreneurs will find this thoughtful product useful in accelerating their entrepreneurial journeys. We’re humbled to have been recognized at the UN Women 2024 WEPs Awards India Ceremony (Innovative Finance segment) for empowering women through affordable housing and financial inclusion. Through our business, we empower women to overcome barriers in getting loans, build homes or even start businesses. Beyond credit, we also provide legal advocacy and financial literacy, to not just be a lender but a partner to all our customers. Notably, 97% of our loans have women as borrowers/co-borrowers—women who had no prior access to formal financing—are now building secure futures with homes and businesses of their own. Our commitment goes beyond just our customers to also include the communities where we operate. Through our flagship CSR initiative, 'Oonchee Udaan,' we have helped over 500 female micropreneurs start their businesses—these women have gone on to emerge as role models in their communities and generate meaningful employment for even more women, a ripple effect we have seen in play over the last two years of running this program. Celebrating this recognition reinforces our resolve to bridge the credit gap for underserved communities, especially women, by offering innovative, transparent, and accessible financial solutions.
