I have my graphic design job and I have my animation life drawing teaching job, which I absolutely loooove to bits. I thought I'd share some some magic from the studio. When my students are feeling rigid I like to have them do an exercise I call "The Switch". They start at their own horse and don't know how much time they have at it. When I call "switch!" each student gets up and moves one seat to the right and begins adding to the drawing in front of them. As they move through the horses in a circle around the model they collectively make a 360 degree animation of the model. It's a classroom favorite to get students loose for gesture drawing. #animation #animationstudio #csssa #csssaanimation

Am excited to share with you that have picked up, my project, that was pend for a while due to my poor laptop, which doesn't enable me to continue my learning, I have decided to choose another pattern in order to continue my animation work. Continuing from my previous posts, we’re in the final stages of completing another 3D animation production for Garrett. We’re adding the finishing touches, polishing the look, enhancing depth, adding glows, and making the colors pop – basically, it's all about the pure joy of compositing. It always amazes me how a raw render from 3D software can transform so drastically once the final corrections and adjustments are applied. So how does it work? We render the 3D scenes as frame sequences, most often in 32-bit EXR format, as it provides the highest quality and flexibility for compositing. EXR files allow us to store multiple passes (like shadows, reflections, depth, etc.) in one file, giving us great control during the compositing stage. Once the rendering is done, we dive into #AfterEffects for the compositing process. You’ve already seen the #styleframes and #animatic created in #Cinema4D. While there are always a few things I’d like to tweak, the result is already looking pretty cool! Sometimes i recognize that one of the best ways to evolve as an artist is to embrace challenges that may initially seem scary but are infact prove to be really fun. I saw this post https://lnkd.in/dFZFrbjB and it just blew me away and inspired me to try to recreate its essence, not as an imitation but as a means of creating something equally remarkable but in CG. Hence this result, which has served as a catalyst for learning alot, especially when it comes to setting up a scene as well as post render compositing and color grading, tools i inted to put to good use on the next challenge. Operation She Shed is moving along. Why is it taking so long? Well it’s like I tell my motion graphics clients. You can’t just rush into animation. It takes time to design. Then there’s file preparation and organization. Properly building assets and assembling those layers in such a way that you get expedited results once you do begin animation. If done correctly revisions are quick. If hand off of the working project files is required anyone new to the project will be able to understand it’s functionality without much of a learning curve. Slower is faster. It saves time and money in the long run. Now hire me already so I can pay someone to build this shed for me. #animation project #AgentFirst: fragment_001; the line up: left: the father of the small girl (in the middle), and to the right, the target of the combined elimination and training/teambuilding operation that the father brings the small girl to be part of (see link in comment below and in earlier posts for more about the project). Next I will transform the line drawing of the girl to a layer drawing (like det drawings of the men's heads). And then I'll start to apply the drawn figurs to the template animation that I've posted earlier. Drawn on tablet with stylus using a program called Sketches. Some of them based on pencil on paper studies (see earlier posts for part of those)

Happy to share my latest 3D work titled "The Simple Things: Year 2058." This project envisions a future where people find beauty in the simple things of life, such as dinners, conversations, low-stress jobs, and nature. It was created primarily in Maya, with support from Substance Painter, Clo3D, Photoshop, and After Effects.
