जोडोनियां धन उत्तम वेव्हारें । उदास विचारें वेच करी ॥१॥ उत्तम चि गती तो एक पावेल । उत्तम भोगील जीव खाणी ॥ Sant Tukaram Maharaj had mentioned this in his legendery classic- Tukobachi Gatha in 1635. It means (broadly) “The person who accumulates wealth by good business acumen, and distributes it dispassionately, will find the bliss and Nirvana”. It was hard for him to imagine that there will be someone like Mr. Ratan Tata, who will LIVE the life word by word in 21st century; nor it is likely that Mr. Ratan Tata would have ever read Tukobachi Gatha- however, he had lived his illustrious life by this doctrine. Today, reflecting within the vaccume left by sad demise of Mr. Ratan Tata, remembered these timeless classic words of Sant Tukaram and the meaning imparted to them by illustrious life of Mr. Ratan Tata, it will continue to inspire all of us, to live a meaningful life of industriousness & selfless service… towards the Nirvana.🙏🏻 Om Shanti. His soul is so blessed that as said by Sant Tukaram, he has achieved his Nirvana. #ratantata

Ganapati - God of Power Triad! Twam Shaktitratatmakaha "त्वं शक्तीत्रयात्मकः" During Ganapati Festival, we often recite the preyer called as Ganapati Athrvasheersha, in praise of Ganapati, which is considered as a god of Wisdom and Knowledge. He is also hailed as ‘supreme’ in many ways and the prayer asks for his blessings to protect and get the qualities like him in his devotees. Though I have been reciting it since my childhood, some words make sudden sense in a totally different light. This year too it happened so. The words which struck deep are the ones mentioned in the title. "त्वं शक्तीत्रयात्मकः" / Twam Shaktitratatmakaha In a simplified form it says ‘Thou are the source of Three Powers. Though reciting them for years subconsciously, this time I started wondering about it. What could be this ‘Triad of Power’ mentioned here… some more reading and a bit thinking brought me to the answer. Triad of Power 1) Power of Knowledge 2) Will Power 3) Action Power or Power to act Indeed, leaders need to be aware and practice this ‘Triad’ of Power. It is self explanatory. Any leader who ‘leads’ people into future, must have enough knowledge about future. Its now cliché to say that we are living in Knowledge Economy, which underlines the importance and power imparted by knowledge of different kinds. The second type of power is power of will aka ‘willpower’. Potential power of knowledge need to be translated into kinetics of action, but first it needs the force of the willpower, or ‘wanting to or willing to DO’. Willpower is most important because it helps overcome obstacles on the way and thereby allow continuity and Success. Consider the combination of Knowledge Power and Willpower! Which gives multiplayer effect of having the right knowledge and willingness to translate it into meaningful actions. Which brings us to the third type of power, which is power of Action. Only the power of knowledge and willpower to overcome challenges will help into this third type of power. The power of action. If leader wants to make any meaningful value addition, its only through actions, in fact, coordinated actions of all the ‘followers’. Ganapati is a God of wisdom. This time he blessed me with this piece of wisdom. Now on everytime reciting Atharvasheersha, I will pray for the blessings of ‘Power Triad’ from Bappa. 🙏🏻 #ganapati #wisdom #power #leadership
