After working four years with Maruti suzuki India limited. I plucked the courage to leave my job the workplace that have seen my transformation from a freshly minted professional to a matured working professional. Leaving an organisation does not mean that you have chosen to cease all contacts and relationships built over the years. On the contrary, you should take efforts to leave on a good note, remember the teachings imparted by your mentors and preserve the relationships so they may go a long way into the future. 1. Be open about your decision and make attempts to stay in contact with your superiors. 2. Handover the tasks in the best manner. 3. Build friendships, not enmity during your tenure with any organisation. #memory #marutisuzukiindialimited #Automobile #organization #Serviceforpeople

MY TRIBUTE TO RATAN TATA My first job in 1996 was in Tata Motors (what was then called TELCO) in Lucknow. Ratan Tata had just taken over as the Chairman of the Tata Group a few years back. Tata Motors was a truck company at that time but Ratan Tata set the vision for the company transforming into a "car" company. Very few believed it was possible but he was very clear and determined about it. He had come to Lucknow in 1996 as that was the original location for making the car project (what would go on to become Tata Indica) a reality. As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, I was in awe of Ratan Tata, of course, but his laying out of the vision for TELCO becoming a car company was extremely lucid and firm. The Lucknow plant ended up ultimately with the same fate as Singur, with too many labour issues but the "car project" went on to become a stupendous success story in the annals of Indian history. The Nano (the Rs.1-lakh car) was an even bigger dream of his, through which he wanted every 2-wheeler owner to become a car owner, which did not fructify as per what he wanted but then the fact that he even made it a reality was totally audacious! Only Ratan Tata could have pulled it off. His crowning glory for Tata Motors was the acquisition of the then-ailing JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) and turning it around stupendously while at the same time, taking Tatas and India to the forefront of the global automobile industry. And all of the above, of course, is just about Tata Motors. His biggest achievement was making the Tata brand not just an Indian household name, which it already was when he took over, but making it one of the biggest brands globally! And to me, the best thing about his life is that he made the Tata brand completely synonymous with ethics and social service whilst he completely embraced the virtue of humility at his individual level, no matter how big and powerful he became. The brilliant ads of Tata Steel in the 90s perfectly captured the Tata philosophy - Asha ki jyothi jagaate hain Kandhe se kandha milaate hain Kamyaabi ki disha mein jaate hain Sabhi dharmon ko saath laate hain Ispaat mein garv paate hain Ispaat bhi hum banaate hain (We also make steel) Laakhon ko raah dikhate hain Badlaav ki hawaayein late hain Faslein sunehri banaate hain Ek sur mein hum saab gaate hain Har dil mein maang jagaate hain Ispaat bhi hum banaate hain (We also make steel) Parivaaron mein khushhaali late hain Sukh ka sandeshaa pahunchaate hain Raahat ka raasta dikhaate hain Har khel mein safalta paate hain Jeevan mein rang laate hain Ispaat bhi hum banaate hain (We also make steel)

It took me 3 years of #effort to get the first workshop from Maruti Suzuki and 4 years from Hewlett Packard. May be my #luck improved but had I not persisted, it wouldn't have. As Shahrukh Khan says in the movie DDLJ, that his mom advised him to always choose the more difficult path, out of the 2 choices at each fork in life. Success comes only after persistence trying. Yes luck is also involved. But unless there is hard work, luck too doesn't work. And if the hard work is persistent then luck also changes. Do you agree #sales #saleshead #businesshead #ceo #hr #hrhead #chro #learning

RC Bhargava, the 81-year-old chairman of Maruti Suzuki India Limited , recently received the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian honor. This recognition is a testament to his pivotal role in transforming India's automobile industry and enabling millions of middle-class Indians to own cars. Reflecting on the honor, Bhargava shared that it marked a profound moment of acknowledgment after decades of contributions and challenges. In his career, which spans over 35 years at Maruti, Bhargava has been a driving force behind the company's growth. Starting as a marketing director when Maruti Udyog was founded in collaboration with Suzuki Motor, he navigated its evolution from a government-led entity to one majority-owned by Suzuki. His leadership helped establish India as a significant player in the global automobile manufacturing arena. One of the defining elements of Maruti's success has been the close collaboration between Bhargava and Suzuki Motor’s Osamu Suzuki. Bhargava credits the company's achievements to the trust and involvement of Suzuki, who played a hands-on role in guiding Maruti's operations during its formative years. The partnership, rooted in mutual respect and shared vision, proved instrumental in shaping Maruti’s growth trajectory. Despite facing significant challenges, including three CBI cases over two decades, Bhargava remained steadfast. His commitment to navigating Maruti through difficult times reflects his resilience and focus. Alongside his professional journey, he co-authored "The Maruti Story" and continues to contribute to discussions on business practices, emphasizing the philosophy of continuous improvement, or Kaizen, a principle he admires from Japanese culture. Even as he looks back on his extensive career, Bhargava remains modest about his legacy, believing there is always room for improvement. His story is a reminder that perseverance, strategic thinking, and collaboration are key ingredients for long-term success. #RCBhargava #MarutiSuzuki #Leadership #AutomotiveIndustry #PadmaBhushan #IndiaAuto #Innovation #SuccessStories #MarutiLegacy #EconomicGrowth #BusinessVisionary #CorporateSuccess #AutomobileRevolution #IndiaGrowth #cxolanes

#throwback #thursday a few years back, while working at Bajaj Electricals Ltd., I had the privilege of participating in a special training program initiated by the HRD team. This unique opportunity, accessible to all employees through a competitive selection process, aimed to enhance skills and foster professional development. This is first time I am sharing this achievement on public domain/social media. It was not so popular earlier - but in this new world showcasing your talent is much important, accept the change. The selection process was rigorous, involving multiple stages such as logical, arithmetic, and reasoning tests, pictorial analysis, psychometric assessments, group discussions - debates, and one-on-one interviews. More than 3 months long evaluation with multiple stages scrutiny, candidates were evaluated solely on their individual merit, without any influence from their reporting managers. Upon selection, the program spanned weeks, months, and ultimately years, culminating in the completion of special projects designed to drive innovation and improvement within the organization. I am proud to have been a part of the PYGMALION TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM in 2019, which significantly impacted both my professional and personal growth. Beyond monetary gains through my hard work, Bajaj Electricals instilled in me valuable qualities such as honesty, discipline, time management, result-orientation, respect for others, customer focus, and trust in colleagues. However, the most profound impact came from the concept of "INTEGRITY." This term, once merely a dictionary definition, became a cornerstone of my life thanks to the experiences and lessons I learned at Bajaj Electricals. I extend my sincere gratitude to Beena Leji Koshy ma'am, Vinodkumar Tripathi Sir, Jayesh Ingale Sir for their special role in my journey to International Business, I am always thankful for their guidance and support. #pygmalion #training #learning #development #growth #year2019 #corporatelife #projects #bajaj #epc #international #business #india #africa #zambia #kenya #togo #burkinafaso #liberia #sierraleone #rwanda

1996: I joined as a site engineer with just 13 employees & 60 Lakhs revenue. 2024: Working as a President in the same organization with revenue of 200+ Cr and global presence. During my early days, I focused only on closing sale deals and field management. Mainly the tasks that were my direct responsibility, and short-term goals that gave immediate results. I wasn't growing, and neither was the company at the pace it could. But after initial few months, one meeting with Sir Ivan Dcosta and Gavin D'costa and later interactions with Vinita Dcosta, changed my MINDSET completely. It made me realise Key to success, i.e, The company's growth = My growth This new perspective helped me align my goals with the company's mission. Now I always think about results that give long-term benefits and contribute to the success of my company. 3 mindset shifts that helped me grow: 1️⃣ From "just a job" to "The mission" Stop viewing work as just a paycheck. Instead, find purpose by aligning your efforts with a larger goal that excites you. 2️⃣ From "me" to "we" Shift focus from personal success to team success. True leadership is about helping others shine and achieving collective growth. 3️⃣ From "fixed" to "growth" mindset Replace "I can't" with "How can I?" Embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than obstacles to avoid. And as a result? → From 13 employees, 60 Lakhs revenue to 150+ employees, 200+ Cr revenue → Together cracked bigger projects with the likes of Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hyundai, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, General Motors, Ford, Mercedes Benz, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motocorp, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motors, Royal Enfield, MG, etc. → It’s been 28+ years in the same company and thriving alongside Patvin Engineering Private Limited → Growth from site engineer to president, from local operations to global scale. When you decide to grow your vision, the REAL GROWTH happens. What is that mindset shift which helped you grow in your career? #CareerGrowth #LeadershipLessons #PersonalDevelopment #growthmindset
