Last week, BCG on Industrial Goods published a report (https://lnkd.in/g-q896B8) on the potential of Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (#BECCS). Having worked for over year closely with BECCS project developers in Switzerland, Germany and France, I fully agree with the report's conclusion that BECCS can deliver negative emissions at scale. Yet, the BECCS value chain - from sourcing sustainable biomass to CO2-capture, transport, storage, monitoring & verification and monetisation - is a complex one which also requires massive up-front investments. Latin America is a huge market for #hydrogen and #carbon capture, utilization and storage technologies.
