It’s an unfortunate reality that domestic abuse happens within our country. It’s even more sad to realize that it happens so often that there are large nonprofits that take care of family members in these situations. Safe Harbor in Greenville “provides pathways for people impacted by domestic abuse to survive and thrive, and raises awareness of domestic abuse through community engagement and education.” Their services include a 24 hour hotline, emergency shelters, transitional housing, counseling, case management, and much more. There are quite a few ways you can get involved. You can donate in terms of money but you can also donate standard living items like kitchen or household goods, diapers and clothing for children, school supplies, and other needs. You can also volunteer to help carry out the vision of Safe Harbor. Consider helping families be free from the constraints of abuse. #greenville #volunteer #nonprofit

Crime Survivors created resource guides for counties in Southern California with information that we have researched that survivors may need during the court and healing process after being victimized. We distribute these booklets throughout Southern California to advocates, police departments, nonprofits, and more so they can give them to survivors but it is also a good resource for providers as well. High Lethality Risk Alert In the early hours of the morning, at 1:15am, Control Alt Delete took swift action to protect a Survivor of domestic violence. With the abuser set to be released from police custody, we changed the locks on the survivor's home to ensure their safety. Domestic violence is a serious issue, and we are committed to providing immediate support and protection to those in need. Men and boys are often less likely to self-identify as victims of human trafficking due to the significant risk of stigma. This silence is further compounded by a lack of resources specifically tailored for male victims, creating a significant barrier to receiving the help they need.
