There are so many benefits of regular exercise to your wellbeing, and we love partnering with forwards-thinking asset managers and place makers like Capital&Centric who are committed to supporting the wellbeing of their building community. Thanks to Capital & Centric all tenants and their staff at Tempest on Tithebarn Street, Liverpool can join us every Monday for a Hatha Yoga class, and a faster paced Vinyasa Flow Yoga class every Wednesday. Both classes are designed to strengthen the body, improve alignment and breath awareness, while incorporating relaxation techniques that leave participants feeling refreshed and energised. And the best part? These classes are free for all tenants and their staff! It's a great way for office workers to take a break from their workday, reduce stress, improve their posture & energy levels for the rest of the day and week. Not only do these classes give members of the building community a reason to be back in the office, they also boost the Social aspect of the building's ESG, so everybody wins! #wellbeing #community #amenities #esg #engagement

Professional Speaker | Forbes Contributor | Founder/Author: Drunk Yoga® (Now The Uplift Center™) - Curating immersive social wellness experiences that spark radical belonging at live events
Accountability is the opposite of entitlement...and entitlement is death to engagement. Something I've learned over the last 10 years of working with companies and brands to create immersive yoga and meditation experiences for their employees is that in order for team members engage in the event (ahem, show up), they need to feel like they have accountability over their own experience. That means they need to feel seen, heard and included in the decision making process. One of the ways I make this easier for corporate event planners--whether I'm leading the event myself or sending one of my instructors--is by providing the event point person with the right materials in advance to promote the event with a step-by-step guide on how to describe the event (with killer photos, videos and descriptions), as well as fun, cheeky reminders via email to cultivate anticipatory excitement for the experience to come. Two other simple ways we help create a sense of accountability for employees who join the event on the day of: 1) We kick off every event (even the more "serious" yoga/meditation classes) with a partner or group game. 2) We ask ONE participant in the room to choose the song that's played during that game, with a nostalgic prompt (Ex: "Tell us your favorite song to boogie to during high school dances.") This not only creates a sense of accountability for the individual choosing the song, but it also creates a sense of horizontal responsibility for their peers--(the pressure to choose a bangin' song will do that to a person!) Also? Nostalgia makes us feel safe, and when we feel safe, we feel like we belong...and that's kind of the point of integrating mindfulness into the workplace;) Curious to learn more?
