The 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 has been delivered! ✔️ This is the second of the two sister ships 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐬 (𝐂𝐒𝐎𝐕𝐬) built by ULSTEIN, featuring the innovative SX222 design, developed in close collaboration between Ulstein and Olympic Subsea ASA.   At Ingeteam, 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐒𝐆 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬) based on Ingedrive LV800 series. Our converters supply a fix AC voltage/frequency towards the switchboard regardless of the generators speed, which is dynamically adjusted to match load requirements. The consequence is a reduction close to 50% in fuel consumption during DP operations.   Additionally, we delivered 4 𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄™ 𝐋𝐕800 water-cooled AFE drives for the main propulsions and 1 𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄™ 𝐋𝐕800 water-cooled grid converter for the battery system. Zinus AS has been awarded a contract to deliver two advanced shore power units to the Port of Skagen, Denmark, as part of the port’s ongoing electrification efforts. The ZPP115 shore power units are scheduled for delivery in early 2025, marking a key step towards enhancing port electrification in one of Denmark’s busiest maritime hubs. “We are thrilled to add the Port of Skagen to our growing list of Danish clients,” said Klaus Kopelman, Sales Manager at Zinus AS. “These shore power units will provide a reliable, environmentally friendly solution, supporting the port’s efforts to cut emissions and create a cleaner, more sustainable environment.” Port electrification The ZPP115 units, designed for optimal energy efficiency and flexible cable management, will allow vessels docking at the Port of Skagen to transition to shore power, reducing the need for diesel generators. As part of Denmark’s broader goal to advance port electrification and reduce the maritime sector’s carbon footprint, this collaboration underscores the importance of shore power in achieving greener operations. Willy B. Hansen, CEO of Port of Skagen, added: “The Cabel Management System from Zinus AS is a vital part of the Port of Skagen pilot in the Interreg North Sea project - Green Supply Chains.” ”The pilot aim is to electrify the pelagic fish landing operation at the Scandic Pelagic & FF-Skagen landing terminals. The system will enable the large vessels to turn off their diesels and run on green electricity.” Over and above the pilot, the plan is for the ZPP115 units will serve a wide range of vessels, from fishing boats to cruise ships, aligning with the port’s diverse maritime needs. On July 9, there was an exciting visit to Dornier Power and Heat in Berlin! A Chinese delegation led by the National Energy Administration and the Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute CO, LTD was on site. Organized by GIZ, the experts had an intensive exchange about the flexibility of coal-fired power plants. Udo Gade and Ronald Rost provided insights into how Moorburg and Jänschwalde were made flexible. The guests were particularly interested in the measures for rapid load regulation and the reduction of minimum output. In China, 50% of the large coal-fired units have already been made flexible - some even to 20% minimum load! The information that the power plant units in Moorburg and Jänschwalde have now been shut down was met with astonishment. Finally, Frank Schulze presented the innovative P2M solution for online monitoring and predictive maintenance. These technologies help to reduce costs and CO2 emissions and are a real game changer for plant operators! #dorniergroup #bettertogether #international #China

“Value Maritime, partners win funding for #CCS aboard Samskip Kvitbjorn” January 9, 2025, - Aida Čučuk “Dutch #maritime technology company Value Maritime and its partners in the Maritime Efficient & Easy Carbon Capture (ME2CC) project have received funding from the Maritime Masterplan 2024 to advance the development, construction and demonstration of a compact, modular #carboncapturesystem to be installed aboard #LNG -powered, combination container and Roll-On/Roll-Off (ConRo) ship, Samskip Kvitbjorn.” “The Samskip Kvitbjorn operates on a fixed route from Rotterdam along the Norwegian west coast to Hammerfest, which is considered one of Europe’s most environmentally sensitive regions. By retrofitting the vessel with Value Maritime’s #CO2capturesystem , the consortium wants to ensure it meets the #lowemissionrequirements set by the European Union (EU) and Norwegian authorities.” “As informed, the ME2CC project aims to create a scalable, compact #carboncapture system that utilizes patented techniques to reduce the system’s height and footprint by up to one-third compared to existing #absorptiontechnologies , while maintaining low-pressure drop.
