Sharing the hilarious trend we could not resist re-shooting with our marketing intern Evgeniya Novikova.
💫 To add a bit of value to this post, let’s see what my team prepared for Zheniya for a successful onboarding.
1) An onboarding Slack canvas
We used the “employee onboarding” template to create a small page inside the Slack ecosystem that includes all the info about the team, some links to the Confluence spaces, and essential reports.
The coolest thing about it is that you can go to the canvas with the team structure described, find the right person, and immediately text them. Wow, 0 questions asked. Kudos, Egor Yakovlev for testing new features!
2) Detailed task plan for 3 months
By “detailed plan,” I mean we broke 3 months into weeks and, week-by-week, synced the internship tasks with the team’s quarterly plans timeline.
We added statuses and useful links for each task (these can be a Confluence page with a process description or a Google Drive folder with presentations from previous months).
Also added a short capture for each task with focus points and questions to answer after completing.
Finally, we included one-time intro meetings with different teams to learn what everyone is doing and how each team is helping the project grow.
3) This one is easy but essential: Access Settings
We checked all the necessary access settings to avoid stumbling upon issues along the way.
Good luck to our interns!
We believe the first step to greatness is mastering the art of observation, and our interns get front-row seats to all the action! 😄
