This week we started the installation of a new production cell. Two new Arburg 470H (hybrid machines) from #Rafo is soon calibrated and ready for use. After the summer break the cell will be completed with two 6 axel robots, assembly station and vision system. This assembly concept developed by Nolato Cerbo ~10 years ago has proven to be a robust solution- Now we are taking it even further and finetuning the concept to maintain a robust production for our customers.

Don't worry, even professionals make mistakes. Paint defects sometimes occur on car bodies in automotive plants. The Spanish company PROCON SYSTEMS has developed an automated system to detect and rectify these. This uses a movable articulated arm robot that grinds and polishes imperfections.
The power and data cables must follow the complex movements of the robot without causing breaks or tangles to avoid costly failures that cause problems for the automotive industry. The engineers therefore rely on triflex #energychains from igus GmbH on the robot axes.

Have you ever wondered what the making process of products looks like in Intercable Automotive Solutions Krivan? 👨🏭
After three weeks at assembly department, we move to another, which is 👉 AKE. More specifically EOL3 line.
📌 Here, operator places the parts on the input conveyor. These parts are taken by robot1 from conveyor using guidance from the camera.
📌 Subsequently, the robot goes to the camera 🎥 , where the correct assembly/quality of the part is evaluated. Then robot1 moves the part to the HV mold where the HV test (high voltage test) will take place.
📌 Robot2 picks up the part and, if necessary, the robot performs further camera tests. If no further tests are required, the part is evaluated and marked as an IO part ✔ - output conveyor/ NIO part ❌ - box.
📌 Lastly, the operator collects the IO parts from the conveyor and packs 📦 them according to the packing instructions.

I'm pleased to share our latest publication, "A Self-Reconfiguration Algorithm for Sliding Triangular Modular Robots," co-authored with Oded Medina. In this paper, we introduce an innovative algorithm aimed at enhancing the adaptability of 2D Sliding Triangular Modular Robots in complex scenarios.
A central element of our research is the robust proof we've provided for the connectivity between any two horizontally-convex configurations. This aspect underlines the strength and reliability of our approach. We also illustrate the practical application of our work with a motion planning example: a STRIMOR with 1000 modules efficiently navigating through a narrow gap.
