Ever open a big box and get a face full of balloons? 🎈 Just me?
Thanks Adobe Marketo for one of my favorite memories at work. Marketo sent a giant box, to my office, to be opened immediately. It was full of helium balloons! The card said something like thanks for being one of the first x# customers.
No call to action. Just thanks.
I wasn't the decision maker, heck, I was their detractor in the beginning of the sale. But I was the admin. And I went on to purchase or manage Marketo 2 other times at future companies. I always remembered how the balloons made me feel. It's important that the product was great too. They knew how to make the customer feel important.
Just like a great demo.
Great demos put the customer in the center of the story. They make people FEEL and REMEMBER.
