As this is currently a tough economy for startups, I’ve been wondering how this has impacted female founders who already find it harder to raise money? My fear is - based on many of the stories I’ve heard from female founders over the years - it won’t be a pretty picture out there. How I become one of the Top 60 African women in Development at a very young age. Public Announcement for all the women in my network. 👇 Don't scroll past if you are a woman.... 💡As good as this award might sound, I want to make one thing clear to every woman reading this - this achievement didn’t just happen overnight. 🔖Here is my advice to every young woman looking to be at the top of her sector: 📌A pretty face might get you attention, but you need skill, a sound mind, and uncommon intelligence to sustain and utilise that attention for the right things that can benefit your business and career. 📌Continuously give yourself to consistent learning. In some cases, you are one piece of information and execution away from the life you dream of. 📌Stagnant water stinks and it's only a flowing pool that people love to swim in. Similarly, it's only someone consistently improving that people want to hire, do business with, or follow. This is how I have consistently been able to stand out in my sector. My learning and development budget is one of the biggest budgets I have, wayyyyyyyyy more than that of my clothes, shoes, hair, or makeup. Because I know that after the physical thing attracts people if I have no substance, I have just wasted my time and money. Unfortunately, we live in a generation that would rather spend their money on hair and makeup rather than development, but still go on to be inspired by those heavily investing in their development. No one succeeds by mistake. It’s been quite a while since my last post, so I wanted to take the opportunity to provide an update on what’s been happening in my world and share some exciting plans for 2025 and beyond! The past year has been transformational for the Fierce Ladies Collective (FLC), a community dedicated to empowering women through meaningful connections and transformative experiences. Here are a few highlights: 💜 Welcomed 487 new women into the community, marking an incredible 266% growth. 💜 Hosted 47 events with a combined reach of 271 attendees. 💜 Supported 45 small and local businesses through partnerships and collaborations. Each event, retreat, and initiative reinforces the FLC’s mission of creating spaces where women can connect, grow, and thrive. In 2024, we introduced new ways to deepen engagement and expand our impact: 💜 Launched Fierce Ladies Collective ELITE, a limited-membership community offering exclusive benefits and opportunities for connection. 💜 Expanded our retreat model to include biannual retreats, held in both the fall and spring. These retreats are designed to help women nurture self-love, develop personal growth, and foster authentic relationships. While the FLC is a significant focus, it is part of the larger vision of KMF: Keep Moving Forward, my parent company dedicated to empowering individuals and fostering connection. In Q2 2025, KMF will introduce new expansions that represent a refreshed approach to some of my earlier offerings. In 2026, I’ll be launching a new program that has been in development for some time—a reimagined version of an offering close to my heart. These new initiatives will further align with KMF’s mission of helping others build meaningful connections, grow personally and professionally, and embrace forward momentum. 2024 was a year of growth, community, and renewed purpose. It reignited my passion for building KMF: Keep Moving Forward, and I’m excited about the opportunities and impact we’ll create in 2025 (and beyond!). To those who have supported this journey, thank you. Your encouragement fuels my dedication to building spaces where connection and growth can flourish.
