It isn’t just about overseeing every small detail of someone’s work—it's about stifling creativity, eroding trust, and creating a work environment where employees feel undervalued and unmotivated. 🌪️ Urban Company has beautifully highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of trust and collaboration in such a simplistic narrative that it touches your heart. This resonates deeply because micromanagement can lead to high turnover rates, decreased productivity, and overall dissatisfaction. As leaders and professionals, we need to shift our focus from controlling every aspect of our teams' work to supporting and enabling their growth. So true. Micro management is such a pain, even at senior levels. Insecure reporting managers can actually be rather abrasive. The film is also well made. "Har kaam Ka sabse bada inaam izzat hota hai" (Respect is the biggest reward/appreciation for any work/effort) is such a powerful and meaningful takeaway message. However 1) The story shows the customer saying thank you, good bye or making a payment (where required) to the technician, without even verifying the solution & functioning isn't the right message for a working professional (or even a house-person). That, whatever comes to a person must be checked and not be a mere postman! Are we expecting or asking that the boss/manager shouldn't even review/check the work that's submitted to him or her? Moreover, Urban Company seems to be suggesting a process/SOP that's not appropriate. That a customer should not review work done! 2) Izzat 'hota' hai or 'hoti' hai? I think it should be the latter! #communications #messaging #language
