After five enriching years as a researcher at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences / Fachhochschule Kärnten, I've had the privilege of contributing to several significant publications. However, this paper holds a special place in my heart. It's not just the culmination of countless hours of dedicated research; it's the impactful insights and direct applicability of our findings that make it truly standout. Our systematic review dives deep into the credibility of physician rating websites, a crucial tool in today's healthcare decision-making. The results are both enlightening and immediately useful for healthcare policy makers, providers, and patients alike. #HealthPolicy #ResearchImpact #PhysicianRatingWebsites

🩺 Abarca Prize has one clear purpose: to recognize the impact of medical-scientific advances and innovations, highlighting their importance for society. With this goal in mind, the prize is awarded to a scientist of international renown, such as Carl June, who throughout their scientific or medical career has made a transcendental contribution to the protection, improvement or rehabilitation of individuals’ and populations’ health thanks to a biomedical discovery of worldwide relevance. Therefore, the prize is intended for an action that has served to generate new knowledge with global impact. And all this must have been achieved without losing sight of the scientist’s role as a scientific and clinical inspiration for current and future fellow researchers. The inspiration for the Doctor Juan Abarca International Award for Medical Sciences, created in 2020, comes from Doctor Juan Abarca himself. He has dedicated his life to furthering the lives and health of people, and these human values pervade both this initiative and the organization which he still presides over in an honorary capacity. 🔗 More information about the award at this link: https://lnkd.in/dJbnG7Cm #AbarcaPrize2024 #medicalresearch #medicine #medicalaward

🤔 Do you know about implementation science? It’s the scientific study of methods to promote the systematic uptake of research findings and other evidence-based practices into routine practice. With the aim of improving the quality and effectiveness of health services and care. If you want to know more then take a look at the new Implementation Science Research Glossary (linked in the comments) ⬇ This was developed by one of our RSS Expert Methods Advisors: Dr Louise Hull, and a team from the Centre for Implementation Science at King's College London and King’s Improvement Science. Led by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South London at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. 👉 This resource is a consolidation of more than 100 terms and acronyms used in implementation research. It aims to build upon pre-existing glossaries by providing an up-to-date and comprehensive list of terms and acronyms relating specifically to implementation science research. 👉 If you are designing, carrying out or reporting health and social care implementation research then this glossary can help you! In a King's Improvement Science News post Louise said: "Implementation science has been described as a Tower of Babel. There are many established and widely used concepts and terms – for example, implementation outcomes and implementation strategies. At the same time, new concepts, terms, and definitions are frequently emerging, such as re-implementation. This creates a need to consolidate terms and definitions used in implementation science research... Implementation science research is critical to improving the implementation and sustainment of evidence-based interventions, with the ultimate aim of improving the quality and equity of healthcare. We hope that by clarifying key concepts and terms, this glossary will support this much-needed research". Congratulations to Louise and the team! #ImplementationScience #HealthResearch
