PA just released a public 4000-participant survey exploring generational, economic, and motivational factors influencing sustainable and circular behaviors and beliefs. There are some weighty insights in here - including a nuanced breakdown of assumptions re: conscious consumption as the domain of the privileged, and what kind of rewards matter most depending on generational values and life stage. We all know the sight of faded fast food wrappers blowing into piles along the highway, and the vast majority of UK and US residents consume some fast food and drink every year (yes, that includes coffee!) How might we make fast food/fast drink more circular without undermining the core values it provides: speed, convenience, and affordability?

Would you like sustainability with that? ♻️🍔 Many of us have good intentions when it comes to reuse and refillable packaging, but why is there such a gap between our intentions and our actual behaviour? The conversation continues around when, where and how reusable packaging will be adopted in the quick service industry. We asked 4000 people in the US and UK about their attitudes towards refillable packaging to better understand the motivations and barriers to making it a success. #sustainability #behaviouraldesign #reusablepackaging #qsr

It’s never been easier to order your favourite meal to your home, or pick it up on the go 🚲🥡 But what about all.that.packaging 🫨 80% of consumers believe it is our collective responsibility to reduce single use packaging and reusable packaging is already being implemented by some QSR's. 🍔 But the key is getting people to not only choose reusables but also to change fundamental behaviours so they actually re-use them! ♻️ Our latest survey delves into the motivations and barriers to making reusable packaging a success across the QSR and fast casual dining sectors. 📊 We asked 4000 people in the US and UK about refillable packaging in quick serve restaurants and fast casual dining. 🍴 We’re doing a tonne of great stuff to help brands bridge the say-do gap and be a part of changing consumer patterns across the F&B industry. If this is interesting to you, then I’d love to chat 💬 #sustainability #qsr #casualdining #delivery Matt Millington

We've been working alongside the vibrant F&B industry for almost a decade now. Over the years, we've witnessed remarkable transformations. And there is more to come. But none so impactful as the recent surge in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulations. We get it... it's not always easy to keep up. The pressure is on for food service businesses to adapt to these new regulations. From sourcing ingredients responsibly to reducing waste and carbon emissions, the demands of sustainability reporting are placing immense pressure on companies to rethink their operations from the ground up. And with consumers increasingly voting with their wallets for eco-friendly and socially responsible options, the stakes have never been higher. Failure to comply could mean... ⇾ Losing customers ⇾ damaging reputation ⇾ Facing legal consequences The complexity of ESG regulations can be overwhelming. You might have hundreds of questions. Do I fall into this ESG regulation criteria or not? How is ESG going to impact my F&B business? What measures do I need to take as a restaurant operator? Without proper guidance and resources, it's easy to feel lost in the sea of regulations and expectations. To address this issue, we have planned something. What? A WEBINAR! Join us for an enlightening session featuring some of the brightest minds in the industry, Kaj Török, Chief Sustainability Officer at MAX Burgers, and Fred Van Aken, ESG Expert at Conceptional B.V.
