🔑 UNLOCKING THE POWER OF BEYOND VISUAL LINE-OF-SIGHT ("BVLOS") FOR UNMANNED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS ("UAS") IN NORTH DAKOTA _________________ The North Dakota Vantis pathfinder project is complex and not lacking in challenges. That comes with the pioneering of emerging technologies. This project, which is being developed and examined at the Northern Plains Unmanned Aircraft Systems Test Site ("NPUASTS"), will establish a repeatable process by which other states and U.S. territories can leverage a strategic combination of FAA Radio Detection and Ranging ("RADAR"), terrestrial wireless links, GPS and a staffed Mission Network Operations Center ("MNOC") to ultimately achieve detection, avoidance and sufficient separation of manned and unmanned aircraft from one another so that operations in the National Airspace System ("NAS") is conflict free. Ultimately, the objective goal is to enable and unleash the power and utility of drones for delivery, agricultural, security and a host of other beneficial autonomous aircraft applications that can be integrated into everyday life. This is an industry waiting to BOOM 💥 and this project will be key to its success and maturity. We all know the heavy impacts the drone industry will have on commerce, jobs and quality of life.
