Come and see us at NY500 near Pickering on 18th and 19th April. We have teamed up with Weber Rescue UK to hold a training event, RescueDAYS UK, in Pickering. This is the first time Weber Rescue are holding the event in the UK. The event originated in Germany, where it has been spearheaded by Weber Rescue Systems since 2007. The days are a training opportunity for fire and rescue services and rescue organisations with a several road traffic collision scenarios arranged over the two days. Firefighters from across the region will be attending along with instructors from Japan, Brazil, Germany, and Austria. As well as taking part in some of the training scenarios we will also be in attendance providing road safety advice and On-call firefighter recruitment information to the public. Station Manager Kevin Scorer said: “This is the first time Weber Rescue UK have brought their international RescueDAYs to the UK, and we are proud to be the hosting service; so this is a brilliant opportunity for us to be involved. The two-day event, kindly being held at NY500, will allow our staff to learn new rescue techniques, learn more about emerging vehicle technologies and give us the opportunity to promote safety advice. Attending the event is free for the public so come along, watch firefighters conduct rescues from simulated road traffic collisions, and pick up some safety advice."

🚨 Attention All Road Users! 🚨 We're excited to share a pivotal moment from Karin Smyth, MP for Bristol South in Parliament: a video showcasing the Justice for Freddie, #towsafe4freddie, campaign, emphasizing the crucial role of safe and legal towing practices. This initiative shines a light on the importance of community and professional commitment to road safety, featuring the National Trailer & Towing Association's (NTTA) participation in the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) to advocate for these vital issues. As we approach Trailer Safety Week 2024, it's more important than ever to focus on the safety of our roads and the well-being of all who use them. Whether you're a professional in the towing industry or someone who occasionally tows, we all play a part in ensuring safety. 🔍 Why is this crucial? Your participation and attention to trailer maintenance and servicing significantly contribute to preventing accidents and ensuring safe travels. But it doesn't stop there. We're also encouraging everyone to consider the Training to Tow scheme. Though voluntary, this training is a cornerstone in preparing individuals for responsible and secure towing. This is more than a campaign; it's a movement towards greater safety and responsibility on our roads. Whether you're directly involved in towing or share the roads with those who are, your awareness and actions matter. Let's make Trailer Safety Week 2024 a landmark event for raising awareness about the importance of trailer maintenance and the invaluable benefits of towing training. Together, we can create safer roads for everyone. Check out the video, be inspired, and join us in spreading the word about towing safety. Your support can lead to real change. Let's make every tow a safe tow! #TrailerSafetyWeek2024 #SafeTowing #RoadSafetyAwareness #MakeEveryTowASafeTow https://lnkd.in/eSQpuU7H

Rescue activities are unique in many ways when speaking about working in height. First of all, it is an activity where a person’s life is in danger, thus the rescuer has to be capable of quick, accurate, and efficient work and of course keeping himself safe during his work. That is why rescue gear is carefully selected for the job. https://lnkd.in/dtpaZ4vE #VerticalSafetySystems #SearchandRescue #safetyequipment #industrialsafety #adventuresafety #safetygear #safetysolutions
