Two opportunities to join our Risk Management team as we assist with the growth and management of the business.

I've just finished 7 days straight of 'duty' shifts. These are shifts where you are the first point of call for all major and serious incidents, no matter what type. I have been one of the most senior Detective on duty, responsible for a population of approximately 800,000 people. Across these 7 days I've dealt with multiple assaults, attacks with weapons, several serious sexual offences and a number of high risk missing people. This is in addition to managing the work of multiple teams and supporting my own team with their workload and welfare. Risk, risk, risk. The risk management skills of those with a law enforcement or military background is diverse but it is real and immediate. One of my current aims is to enhance my experiences of this type of decision making and risk management ability with the technical skills (particularly modelling and controls) of financial risk management. I think this will lead to a much more effective combined risk management skill set. Thoughts?
