To the men in our lives: As we observe Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, let's remember that taking care of our mental well-being is just as important as our physical health. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious at times. Know that you're not alone, and there's no shame in reaching out for support. Whether it's talking to a friend, family member, or seeking professional help, taking that step is a sign of courage and strength. Let's create a supportive environment where we can openly discuss our struggles and lean on each other for support. Together, we can break the stigma surrounding men's mental health and prioritize our overall well-being.

Some questions to ponder over as we kickstart July. 🔸In what ways do we support minorities and marginalized communities in their mental health journey? 🔸How might we make minorities feel included, especially during the initial approach? 🔸Is the perspective and voice of minorities lost in AI? We think about this while building Unhush. Would love to hear from you all how you think about these questions. And any other questions you find worthy of conversations. ✨
Today is the start of Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. At AFSP, we always have mental health top of mind. But it's important to consider the unique mental health factors that impact historically marginalized and underserved racial and ethnic groups. So this July, we're shining a spotlight on life-saving information and resources specifically focused on mental health among people of color.

"Mental health to me is less about taking in and more about letting go and creating space to welcome something new. When you let your old self die, you’re born again. Today is Time to Talk Day — it draws attention to mental health and the importance of reaching out to others. The day aims to help people open up and be honest about mental health, without the fear and stigma often attached to the topic. It can be daunting to express personal struggles and because of this, many people keep everything bottled up. By opening up, the likelihood of the person suffering seeking help increases, which can be crucial to the healing process. On Time to Talk Day, help raise awareness about mental health and be a part of changing the narrative. R U Ok? 🟡🟡🟡 Great awareness today for mental health. It’s something that hopefully will be come an everyday normality to have to courage to talk to some if you are not doing ok whether that’s a friend, family member, colleague or stranger. It’s just as important to identify if some doesnt appear to be themself just ask the R U Ok? Here are some scary stats from our industry: - More than 190 Australian workers in the Construction Industry take their own lives every year. This means we lose a worker to suicide every second day. - Tradespeople are 8 times more likely to die from suicide than an accident at work. Stay safe, and remember it ok to ask for help 🟡
