Everyone is talking about mental health awareness. I think the bigger issue is finding qualified mental health professionals and standardized Psychological services. People are still not aware of the difference between the counselors, psychotherapists, psychiatrists and so on and whom to approach on the basis of symptoms. Mental health education, prevention and intervention is highly important as we are dealing with the human mind, health and life.

R U OK? day - a great reminder of the importance of reaching out and checking in on those around us. - In Australia 42.9% of people aged 16–85 years have experienced a mental disorder at some point in their life - 4.3 million people aged 16–85 has suffered symptoms of a mental disorder in the last 12 months. Of these, only 1.9 million sought help from a health professional These statistics were taken from a National Study of Mental Health referred to by the Bureau of Statistics. It really shows how widespread mental health issues are. Remember, a simple “R U OK?” can make a big difference.

It's important for caregivers, friends, and loved ones to understand the impact that mental health has on daily life. When people are better educated on these conditions, they can better support and help someone dealing with a mental health issue. ,if there is someone in your life struggling with their mental health, the best thing you can do is reach out and start a conversation. Educate yourself on the realities of living with mental health issues and confront any feeling of stigma or judgment you may have. Just supporting those in your life can spread the message of awareness and acceptance.
