We all want to be great. One way or another we all want to be somebody special – somebody who will make a big mark in this world. But so many of us end up being blown away by the demands of what it takes to be great in this world. We think we don’t have what it takes. Instead, we end up frustrated that nothing has turned out exactly as we had imagined it to be as a child, when we had this big dream of being great. Life comes along like a big tractor-trailer and rolls over us, along with our dreams. We get up from our cathartic heartache and disappointment with this life, and we give up on our dreams. We finally say to ourselves this is the only way to live: marry, have kids, find a decent job, retire and die. We tell ourselves we will never be great so we might as well let someone else do it. Let someone else do the fighting and the grinding and the pushing and the shoving, while we mosey along and do what everybody else is doing, and accept life as it is.Instead of trying to measure up to the world’s definition of greatness, or our own definition, have you ever considered what the true definition of greatness is? Who is great but God? The book of Psalms said it this way, Psalm 145:3 Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise  No one can measure his greatness.

God made you for a purpose and it’s time for you to begin fully living and existing within your calling. Imagine a life where every moment is filled with purpose, where your actions align effortlessly with the divine plan set out for you. This is not some distant dream or unattainable fantasy; it is within your grasp right now. You were created by an all-knowing, all-loving God who intricately designed you for a specific calling. By fully living within your calling, you unlock doors previously unseen; possibilities become endless as each step forward reveals new horizons waiting to be conquered. Your life will take on a greater meaning as you contribute towards something far greater than yourselves – leaving behind an indelible mark on this world long after you’re gone. Remember, you were not created to merely exist; you were designed for greatness! The time is now – step into your purpose with unwavering conviction and watch as miracles unfold before your very eyes. Live within the calling bestowed upon you by God himself, and experience a life filled with fulfillment, joy, and immeasurable blessings beyond measure! As a believer, you must know beyond any doubt that you have eternal life now in Christ as your present possession or reality. But much more than knowing that you have eternal life, it is imperative to understand your eternal life in Christ precisely. Part 2 of this enlightening teaching series aptly explains the nature of eternal life that you have now in Christ. Listen and learn to enjoy eternal life in Christ!

Do you put God first? or do you go your own way first? As we step into a new week, let's remember to put God first in everything we do. It's so easy to get caught up in our own plans and decisions. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" How often do we try to navigate life's challenges on our own, only to realize we need guidance and wisdom? Let's commit our plans and decisions to God first, and trust that He will clear the road ahead and give us the wisdom and grace we need to succeed. As we go about our week, let's keep this mindset: By our power, we can do nothing, but with God, all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 P.S. Eternal life is a Person. Jesus Christ is eternal life manifested to us. Eternal life is Jesus Christ living and ruling in your heart forever. Having eternal life implies you have all it takes to live or walk like Christ and do the works that Christ did while on earth.
