As a recruiter, I help several nurses further their careers in the medical field. Let me share my biggest takeaways that I think more people should know about nursing… . . . . . 🕰Lifelong Dedication: Nursing professionals often begin their journey at a young age, committing their entire lives to advancing in the healthcare field. 🤚Addressing Workplace Violence: A concerning reality is the alarming frequency of workplace violence targeting nurses, highlighting an urgent need for improved safety measures and support systems. 💵Compassion Over Currency: Nursing is a profession that demands unwavering dedication and compassion for others. It's not merely about financial gain; rather, it requires a genuine commitment to caring for individuals in need. #recruitment #recruitmentalley #nationalnursesweek #nursing

I am passionate about addressing the challenges faced by ethnic minorities in accessing primary care and promoting education for current students and nurses on cultural competency.
Nurses should receive more than a 5.5% pay increase for several key reasons: Retention of Skilled Workforce: Higher pay is necessary to retain experienced nurses in the profession. Many are leaving due to inadequate wages, leading to staffing shortages, which put additional strain on remaining staff and compromise patient care. Workload and Expectations: Nurses are taking on more complex tasks and responsibilities due to increased demand in healthcare services, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. Mental Health and Well-being: Many nurses face burnout due to long hours, emotional toll, and high stress levels. Recruitment Crisis: The healthcare sector is struggling to recruit new nurses. Offering a higher salary would make the profession more attractive to new graduates and those considering a career in nursing, helping to address the recruitment crisis. Fair Compensation for Essential Work: Nurses provide essential, life-saving care and are a critical part of the healthcare system. Their compensation should reflect the significance of their role in maintaining public health and the personal risks they take, particularly during health crises like the pandemic. #nurses #nursesuk #nursepayrise #nursesinengland
