Ready for Extreme Heat? 🥵🔅 Temperatures above 90 degrees for at least 2-3 days can be very dangerous to your health and can be fatal.  So what can you do during times of extreme heat? 1️⃣ Stay hydrated! Don't wait until you're thirsty. It may even be beneficial to throw in some electrolytes to your water too! 2️⃣ Wear sunscreen and avoid staying exposed to the sun for too long 3️⃣ Stick to light-weight clothing in reflective colors (anything light, pastel, etc) 4️⃣ Set your AC between 75-80 degrees. If your home doesn't have AC, try to hang out at some public places like libraries and cafes or ask your neighbors/friends/family if you can cool down at their place.  5️⃣ Watch your sun exposure even from indoors - close shades and blinds whenever possible! 6️⃣ Avoid exercise during the hottest parts of the day (usually between 12 and 3) If you work outdoors, you'll want to be extra cautious. Take frequent breaks to cool down. Your employer MUST give you rest, shade, and water. Don't be afraid to speak up and advocate for your health! Read more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eavnQSr9
