It was a pleasure to work again on the "Employee Rights - the UK Perspective" chapter of this go-to and ever more topical practical guide to global investigations with my brilliant colleagues Sona Ganatra and James Carlton at Fox Williams. #financialservices #regulatory #fca #investigations #employmentlaw #foxwilliams
The latest edition of the Guide, authored by leading practitioners from around the world, is now available to view and download. Volume I covers, in depth, the broad spectrum of law, practice and procedure applicable to investigations in the United Kingdom and United States. In Volume II, local experts from major jurisdictions across the globe respond to a common and comprehensive set of questions designed to identify the local nuances of law and practice that practitioners may encounter in responding to a cross-border investigation. GIR would like to express particular thanks to the Guide’s editors: Judith Seddon of Dechert Eleanor Davison of Fountain Court Chambers Christopher Morvillo, Luke Tolaini and Celeste Koeleveld of Clifford Chance F. The American Bar Association’s Task Force for American Democracy, initiated by Mary Smith, past President of the ABA, is rallying America's 1.3 million lawyers to Preserve, Protect, and Defend the Constitution, Rule of Law, and American Democracy—for reasons we all know: “Donald Trump and his MAGA party are trying to destroy the rule of law in our society…” In response to threats facing our democracy, the task force calls for collective action, like those prosecutors in Arizona and organizations like the ABA have, to safeguard these vital pillars. Each of us can, in our own way, join in this effort. “This is not a moment to stand on the sidelines wondering whom the rule of law protects. It protects all of us.” Learn more about this crucial initiative here:
